Extremely underrated, extremely under the radar, and just like the best artists, the schlubs of the world will finally take notice long after their last sermon!
My 18 year old metal head son got free tickets to see the Rev. He came back saying it was amazing and the best concert he'd ever seen.
Happy 61st Birthday November 2, 1959 Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath. Texas born, Texas raised and one kick ass performer ! Cheers Rev ...
Jim Heath is one if the most entertaining guitar players I have ever witnessed in person in the last 40 years.. His tone is incredible ..... His stage personality is overwhelming. Geaux see the man and his band testify ... Your soul will be saved...!

I've watched a lot of great guitarists throwing out riffs, but seeing Jim & co live in concert had me on the edge of my seat in awe.
lol..."I'm not really a good expert on all this..." yes. yes, you are! Such a humble and accomplished musician.

Truly the most accomplished guitarist ive ever seen
Such a huge fan. One of the hardest working bands in music. I lived in Arizona for 16 years and I swear to God these guys played there every month.

They never stop touring. Except for stupid f'ing covid, of course.
Jim is so cool. Most of the true greats are very humble people and let their skills do the talking for them.
I love Jim Heath's playing and singing and Reverend Horton Heat is a hell of a band!
There's a humble review . A lot of younger players think all kinds of things that just ain't true. You can tell this guy's played his share of guitars
"I don't know how these guitars do it, but I sure do like it" Fabulous!
Love being part of the Gretsch Family. And looked up to the Rev forever...
This man is a legend. I love his sound
This is the authentic one . Cool as ice . Man say's its how it really is . Got sent to the principal office for drooling over my Gretsch catalog . The White Falcon . The goddess of guitars .
Thank you! The Reverend Horton heat is by far one of the best players out there. and his Gretsch signature model is in my opinion the best of them.

I'd put my 71 Superchet against any other electric guitar I've ever heard.
Man, love that sound , Jim Heath and Brian Setzer, just perfect guitar playing and sound.
jim is so fun to listen to....you would never guess his playing or songs by his conversation...i love america
No matter where I go, traveling around America for 30 years, I open the local arts paper and there is RHH playing a gig in some dive.
I'm mainly a bass player but I still have a six-string for when I want to noodle around and try something new. That six-string is a Gretsch Streamliner. Got a Gretsch because of two people: Jim Heath and Tim Armstrong. I absolutely love the Gretsch sound.
My dad and uncle worked at Baldwin and Gretch in Booneville, AR back in the late 60s early 70s. Cool stories outta there. Chet, Roy, other guys.....very cool. Proud Gretsch owner m'self. Rock and roll.
These western 6120's are the best looking guitars ever made.
I regret never going to see these guys live. They have toured extensively for many years.

They are still touring and right now with the Toadies for the Rubberneck tour. Fantastic live performance I definitely recommend catching them if you can!

Back when I was in Austin, you could go see them once a week. Sometimes more. Good times. Glad he's still touring and getting his due.
This is definitely the best Gretsch in my humble opinion, I’ve never had a regret over the money I spent on this tone machine! 🎶🤠
The Rev. and GreTsch guitars. What a combo.
love all his interview vids..inspiring vibe everytime.....good dude
REV is one of the best live shows ever.
WOW! I just bought Jim Heath guitar from the Tone Shop in Addison Texas! He sighed the pick guard! The Tone Shop even sent a poster of the meet and greet The Reverend did ! It is a awesome guitar! Plus In Januwary The Reverend Horton Heat will be playing in Berkeley and San Jose! And I got tickets for both Shows! Sweet Christmas and New Year for me! I hope you all have a wonderful Holly Days!

The twang is what draws me to the Gretsch as well.
I agree the Rev model is the best that Gretsch makes. I've had 6120 reissues, Duo-Jets, special editions, and even some '50s vintage Gretsch. The 6120RHH has the most versatility, the broadest range of tone, and is easiest to play at gig volumes. The neck is excellent and the whole rig just works. I do recommend a the Tru-Arc bridge. Killer axe.
Y'all should bring this model back.
One of the most entertaining bands I've ever seen.

I saw them in Glasgow wow they were amazing,
Saw the Rev in Olympia last weekend. What a riot!
God bless the Rev.....what a guy!
Love my 6120RHH... Took mine one step further into vintage tone with T.V. Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity pickups; it definitely has that Chet Atkins vibe!!
Picked up my first 5420, very happy with it.

Same here mate I bought my 1st ever Gretsch last month, I stumbled upon a lovely 5126 silver sparkle in virtually mint condition and now I'm obsessed with Gretsch guitars. They look better than anything else, and mine sounds great with de Armond pickups, and I find it so comfortable to play.....I've hardly put it down in a month. The only crappy thing about it so far is re-stringing the bloody Bigsby.

Jammy Git idk if you’ve seen it but Callaham makes a bar to replace the stock one that’s string through
Jim Heath, my favorite modern guitarist
Vince Vance is from my hometown, New Orleans. Love your guitar and your music.
The Rev Is The best!! Love your music, man!!
Love the Reverend! I think after the Nashville, TN gig on 06.30.2018 at the Exit In, he should pack his bags and do an Australian tour :-0
I have one. An awesome guitar. Perfect looks and playability. The best guitar i have.
Awesome guit box!
Great video!
Magnificent! She's gorgeous !
THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR SPLAININ .)
Love this guy. Hell yeah!!!
If you get half a chance, See them live!
I TOOK ALL THE MONEY FROM THE TOUR..... just shows how little we make for what we do... ya gotta love it.
A true guitar hero
The Reverend is a gentleman.
I'm a 22 year old woman and I'm in love with Jim and I'm in love with his Gretsch.
Its gotta be a Gretsch for Rockabilly!
Me and my brother got Rev tickets for Fayetteville, AR
Oh boy I need some Twang! In my life for sure
When he's talking about string gauges; I use 10s on my gretsch hollowbody. Reverend guitar company makes a bigsby spring that's made for lighter tension strings. Stick on of those bad boys in your bigsby and it flows like warm butter with 10s.
Inspiring artist. 👍🤠🤙
Awesome! Not to mention that the Gretsch Guitars are also so fucking beautiful, aren't they?!
I’ve got a 6120RHH now I just need someone to tell me where to get that custom “Jim Heath” black pick guard that he’s got on his stage guitar
I love this
Best dude ever!!!
The RHH is the best guitar I have ever played or owned hands down.

Congrats on your new guitar. I am interested in getting this model, but need to check it out in person first. I was looking at the Duane Eddy model, but from what I see the bridge/base isn't pinned and the body is deeper. This one just might be the one. I just love this style! Cheers.
The Rev Rules...... Seen him @ the Tralf every time he plays!
My next guitar
Rev rules!!!!!
Awesome bigsby tips your eminence
Martini time!
Got a banjo from Galvans. Great guy
My man
10 - 52'S minimum for me, to keep a bigby in tune. The strenght of the strings pull back the spring in its right place.
Try a roller bridge....I think you would like it. Helps stay in tune too.
Love flat wound strings.
PETE TOWNSHEND said his fave guitar of all time that he used almost exclusively on recordings was a widebody orange gretsch that he bought from JOE WALSH. he said it was too bulky to play live but also he didn't want to risk taking it on tour. either way i've seen THE REV a few times live and he uses very little distortion and yet when the song calls for it he makes it sound heavy AF. it must be in his hands.
The reverend is the greatest man ever to walk the earth, amen!
Some guys get all the COOL 😎
I love the 6120 model also but I prefer one with Dynasonic pickups
Reverend, what amp are you usually using? Thank you......Sal : 0
Does anybody know the name of the track at start? I Found: The Reverend Horton Heat = Marijuana

Yes that's it. Marijuana.
amen reverend.
Enjoyed the RHH show recently, but it would be better if he was playing a Duesenberg.
Long live galvan music store. Corpus Christi tx
Great player and Great Gretsch sound 😂
Great Jim!!!!
Reminds me of Sam, Alice’s boyfriend on The Brady Bunch.
Gibson les paul and fender Telecaster had a baby Waaaah! Hi my name is Gretsch. I do crunch and twang!
It don’t mean a thang if it ain’t got that twang!
What Comes after Jim?
Spanky!
I'm gonna have to correct Jimmy. That Superchet is the best they ever made. Hands down.
Less talk more rock !
Nice! WooF!
Nice to hear a shoutout to Galvan and Corpus Christi....
It's Martini Time !
When you think about it- all these modern rock-a-billy guys have kept that early 50's rock n roll going- to the next generations!

Rockabilly is semi-popular with the over 40 crowd in Norway.
Tele with a bigsby ?
Gretsch - lovely guitars, but please make some carved solid wood versions.

Never tried a DuoJet or a SparkleJet but I've heard a few. Check out Larkin Poe, the guitarist got a new red one a few months ago, should be easy to find.
If you want to know exactly what the kind of “spanky” sound is, palm mute and do a Johnny cash strum on the top strings in relation to your hand on an E chord. You’ll hear it if you do it right.
REVVVVVVVVVVV!!!!!!!
Nothing else sounds like a Tele bridge pickup....period!
