    I rode a 3 yr old stallion that is son to Homer, and he is the best racking horse I have ever rode. I've never had a smoother ride. Even though he's been bred multiple times unless I looked, I'd personally have thought him a gelding... I'm in love with this horse!

    This horse is amazing. I love watching this video. A rack is completely different from a gallop. This horse can do this for miles. The rider sits back to keep the weight off the withers. If anyone is going to criticize this horse and rider at least learn how to spell gait, not gate. lol. You do not ride a walking or racking horse the same as you would a Quarter horse, Thoroughbred etc. different breeds, different movements. Great job. Love seeing this horse posted and have a triple registered mare that I want bred to this stud.

    Love this video! Interesting to see this horse's natural talents taken to the max. More horses should be worked like this, great exercise. Great gaits and he sure looks comfortable, no matter what speed he's going. I read a book written about 50 years ago, and it said the horse wasn't really working unless you could hear them breathing, so good job!

    If it's anything like riding a Paso Fino, it feels really cool but odd at the same time. They walk normally, so you get the swinging hip motion of a regular gated horse, but once they move into the gate, it's like riding on a bike on a smooth road. The first few times I couldn't stop smiling. It's so different and makes you wonder why more people don't ride horses like this.

    I grew up riding icelandic horses and they have the racing pace. How fast would you say does your stallion rack? I would love to ride a racking horse once. I've ridden icelandics, saddlebreds, Paso Peruanos, Paso Finos, TWH and Missouri Foxtrotters. To which one could I compare the racking horse the most gait wise? Thanks

  • @BiancaFink
    @BiancaFink12 жыл бұрын

    @SnooDog1 it's tölt. pass is, like trot, a two-beat gait, whereas tölt, like walk, is a four-beat gait with the same sequence as walk. it's very very comfortable for the rider :)

    @qjblondie. gracielou2u is right... different types of riding styles takes different types of postures in the saddle. When you're showjumping, you have short stirrups, and you're leaned forward a lot more. In dressage, you have long stirrups and have an upright position, same with western. If you're a jockey, you have minimal stirrups and stand up during the entire race. When riding multiple gaited horses, like this one, you have longer stirrups and a slightly more backwards position.
