This gentleman is arguably the best photographer of all things volcanic and this is some of his most impressive work. Holy shite, that amazing second eruption where you can actually SEE THE CONCUSSION move through the air?!? Gorgeous and terrifying simultaneously. Thank you, sir, for your seemingly endless patience and your artist’s eye.

@@snuugumz You don't think volcanic activity and the amount of crap they constantly pump out has anything to do with any of it?? What warmed things up for dinosaur's then? Are you American? You are responsible for about 40% of all man made emissions, I went to New York last week and while looking at all the lights burning I thought to myself, "I'll be sure to keep using my energy efficient bulbs back here in the UK" to get rid of our 1% contribution and offset everything America, China and India is doing to us all. My outlook for the world is so much better for doing that.
This footage is so gorgeously terrifying it's surreal. It's hard to comprehend that something as truly awesome as this actually exists on our planet. The sound alone triggers some sort of primal terror and excitement inside of me I can't even describe it.
The shot of the volcano and the backdrop of stars is so eerily beautiful. I can't imagine what it would've been like in real life

I've heard Dutchsinse mention Reventador many times, since it erupts frequently, but to SEE it is amazing. Your camera settings are just perfect - Making it both terrifying and beautiful at the same time. Art and science brought together.
This is crazy awesome footage. You are amazing. Nature at her scariest. Thank you for recording something seldom seen and survived. Nice work.

That's not actualy lava. It's rocks the size of houses glowing red. Lava either gets shreded to tiny pieces of volcanic ash by the pressure or just flows reealy slowly around the crater before cooling down. Either way it looks spectacular.

Reventador is one of my favorite volcanoes in Ecuador, however Tungurahua's "La Mama" (the Mother) explosions are incredible to hear and feel. That volcano roars so loud that gives you goosebumps. Ecuador have some interesting and furious active volcanoes.
Perhaps the best available footage montage showing some differences between Vulcanian (first 2 explosions) and Strombolian (all later ones) eruptions. Well done, Martin!
