Tbh, "trust me bro" is the correct scientific basis here. After all, the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise is a historic event. There is no stronger source for it than contemporary witnesses (be it written or oral). And Palpatine is just that. Dude this is incredible!! I'd watch this entire saga and its spin-offs. So good.

If anakin was smart, he would first killed palpatin who has high influence. Secondly using the influence, he would have convinced padme to join his cause. Then he would have wiped out the entire jedi council just to build his reputation among galaxies. He would have convinced the children of jedi temple to join his cause. Finally, a true chosen one with one mission. Release all slave from their master because he doesn't want any one to suffer his same fate like his mother.

I think the end would've been better if it was Darth Vader waking up from a dream. Thinking about the life he could have lived, if he had made different decisions all those years ago.
