The one thing that kinda is rough is inscription hunting, i kinda wish they has a similar mechanic like "one step from Eden" where you can lock in a focus on a inscription and the RNG will get weighted slightly for items of the certain inscription to drop. the locking should come at some decent cost like maybe bone consumption and gold.

i think the problem with the skul fight is that he is so tiny that you CANNOT see his attacks through the amount of attack effects you have on screen

Nimue also commonly known as Vivian is the Lady of the Lake that granted King Arthur The Excalibur after he lost/broke Caliburn the sword in the stone she is also sometimes depicted as Merlins Lover and the one who trapped him in Avalon(I think i could be wrong)

I think it would be interesting to see the blessing removed as the whole fairytale build hinges on that one item, and instead have it worked into the inscription like having 20% magic damage boost in the first level per spirit, alongside the faster spirit cooldown and having reach the 45% boost once full oberon is reached. Either way, thanks Beelz for making this run happen!

Nimue a.k.a. The Lady of the Lake is a throwback to the Arthurian legend and has to do with Merlin. Here's a brief from wiki: In almost all versions of Arthurian legend, Nimue is the architect of Merlin's downfall. Nimue is often depicted as an apprentice of Merlin's, along with other familiar sorceresses like Morgan le Fay and Sebile. Good vid btw :)

Yeah, can't say I'll ever be fond of the way Oberon is - too much investment, and so little payoff in comparison to what could've been. The fact that a base increase of 110 magic damage, on top of everything else, didn't even result in a proper nuke aside from on a stationary target with 0 movement is slightly painful. If anything, he does at least look badass.. (Since you can effectively skip the latter portion of the King fight, that counts for something, but the point still stands!) As always, do take care out there, person reading t- Ahah, you expected a normal sign-off, but is in fact I, Guess My Omen - have a horrendously, terrifyingly, *heinously* splendid time out there while possible! Literally just finished the previous video and refreshed yt feed and saw this on top!!!

Getting all the movie references in the King Arthur runs and such good niche references

It might be a bit much for base game, but an idea for any of the people that mod this game that might be fun to play with with king is that Undine being upgraded makes King transform into a base state between his broken sword form, and the mana infused form where he's no longer got the broken sword, but also doesn't have all the extra bonuses that make the Mana form its own thing. Like a happy medium to make him stronger than base, but weaker than infused. Just a nicer tie in reference to her being the Lady of the Lake and the origin of Excalibur. (Edit: Just finished the video and wanted to point out that if I am reading the Pelvis upgrade correctly, as long as you dont actively proc the ability to launch the fragments, it seems to give you a permanent 120% magical and physical damage buff until then. Which means that you had almost 1000% during that last fight. Think it was like 960% after pelvis bonus)

Treasure spoils is actually pretty easy to end with. you just gotta get the Ring and Carlean insigna for Spoils.

Great sponsor segment man, that is a lot of months. Now that you’ve beaten Skul on level 1, can we expect you to take on a series of level increases to get the level 10 trophy? That’s what I’ve done, only up to level 7 currently, but man it’s gonna be satisfying to blow him up at 10. Also yeah, in my experience King does ADEQUATELY against Skul in level 10, the closest I’ve had is with him, but only with a full antique defense build. You can’t blow him up reliably enough to avoid having the same thing happen to you, and good luck being squishy in level 10 against the last boss too.

Awesome seeing you get your rightful revenge Beelz! honestly, I agree with you, the secret boss is SUPER tough, I found after a lot of practicing against him that power skulls literally are unable to dodge certain attacks that he has in second phase. Generally it's not that bad once you get used to it, but some attacks are undodgeable without double dashes or s. But at DM9 and 10 his damage gets ridiculously high

I know you had done a video way back that was a long run where you explained your thought processes in approaching a skul run, but have you done anything similar after the Dark Mirror update, considering stuff like the skull/item selectors or dark abilities as well?

Not for a while now. Once people get an idea of how I piece together builds in my head (from the normal run video) it mostly stays the same in Dark Mirror. The only major differences are what items I take at the start and what dark abilities I get. A single vid for those 2 thing (as in a full run) is more or less what I do every time. But a dedicated video for them may not be bad.

ngl i think dark skul is basically if skul was a full on true berserker instead of being able to take other skulls and branch out into a variety of builds and classes
