Well, just jump right into a new project! I think the "Hally" is like the Liberator, you mostly just think AND HEAR of the 17 and the "Lanc" doing all the heavy hauling and bomb dropping. You just {unless you pay attention} didn't hear much about them. So this should be good not only for a build but also for a history lesson. Yes, Revell Germany is der best! Excellent quality and price, fewer build problems. Good luck with the build, ENJOY!

Exactly, one of the few aircraft that gets overshadowed by the heavies that we all tend to romanticize over. The "Bomber Command Buddy Build" began yesterday...presently have 67 confirmed builders and 28 builds have already begun! I'm looking forward to getting started on mine later this week! "See" you at the first update! Cheers : )

Jolly good video there mate, Handley Page Halifax looks good to me, I can’t wait till your Aircraft model will be finished soon. No offence Martin I’m just saying that’s all. I love Halifax Bomber they are good Aircraft still, I know there is not many survivors left, but I do remember there is only 2 or 3 left in the world. There is Friday 13th from 158 squadron, now displayed at the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington near York. I go there with my friends sometimes when I go there, there is one in Canada use by 644 squadron now at the National Air Force Museum of Canada. And one is in London at the RAF Museum. I did have an Airfix handley Page Halifax Bomber, but unfortunately it’s in the loft to be safer, I never had a revel Halifax, but I did have a Lancaster but it got scrapped sadly. I haven’t started my Lancaster Bomber, just yet but I will do, because this group build is finished till the 31st October 2018 but we got time. My Lancaster is by Airfix and it’s a MK 2 one with the Bristol Hercules engine on it, I can’t decide which Lancaster Bomber RAF base at, because there’s 2 options. 1 is the Canadian Air Force name Z Zombie based at Yorkshire and 2 is the Royal Air Force which is British name Fanny Ferkin II based at Cambridgeshire. Because they are so good looking Lancaster bombers you know. But there is more models by Airfix and Revell you know what I mean, also I love to buy another Lancaster bomber by Airfix and Revell, but I’m afraid I’m occupied with the Hornby new Mallard the Fastest Steam Locomotive in the World, I only got 90 or 100 pounds left but the model steam engine cost 160 pounds but I got time too. I forgot to tell you I’m leaving my second school college called pennine, I’m moving to another school college called Clarke Hall near Pinderfields in Wakefield, I had a good times and life over there at pennine, now it’s time to move on and get a new life you know. I’m sorry Martin I have to tell you mate. I love to go the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre to see Just Jane the surviving Lancaster Bomber over there, I might go there with my mum and my 3rd or 4th Grandad one day, that would be nice wouldn’t it mate. Couple of days I got a bit upset because there was a member of the Battle of Britain veteran name Thomas Francis "Ginger" Neil, DFC & Bar, AFC, AE was a British wing commander in the Royal Air Force fighter pilot and ace of the Second World War during the Battle of Britain. Neil scored a total of 14 kills during the Second World War. He passed away sadly, he was about 97 years old, I was a fan of him, but not just him there is my other Favourite is Squadron Leader Geoffrey Harris Augustus Wellum and Paul Caswell Powe Farnes these 2 still alive and from the Dambusters raid name Squadron Leader George Leonard "Johnny" Johnson, you know. There is about 620,000 or 16 million ww2 surviving today. I’m sorry about this Martin including the long comments, that was my fault sorry mate. I hope you well martin and have a good day my dear good friend. Thanks for sharing cheers ta ... Josh

Hey Josh, no need to apologize and there's no offence taken, mate! Thanks for the history regarding the surviving Halifax's much appreciated, I'd love to see one in real life and get to sit in one, that would be awesome! Yes, plenty of time to build your Lancaster, Josh, if you join in with this build, and it would be a honor to have you do so, mate! I've only ever built one British bomber before and it was the 5th build I ever did when I began modeling in 2014, and, it was the same B.II Lancaster that you have. I built the Z- for Zombie version and you can see a video of it in my uploaded videos, but you'll have to go back to March, 2014 to see it. It's a great kit, the only issue with it was that the wing spars were higher than the space they fill, so, the upper and lower wings halves wouldn't close together. An easy remedy though, I just filed them down until the wing halves did close. You'll enjoy building it Josh, I did. I hope your new college Clarke Hall is as good as Pennine and you get to make a lot of new friends and enjoy your time there mate....I wish you all the best : ) Yes, I saw it on the news about the passing of Francis Neil, it is sad, but he did have a good innings living to the age he did, I wish I could live to that age, it's sad that with respect to how long the universe has been around we get just a miniscule of time to spend in it. I'm doing okay mate, thanks, getting excited to make a start on my Halifax, but before I can, I have to finish of a work project, once that's done, I can begin. Take care Josh, thanks for the chat and have a great week mate! Cheers, Martin : )

Hey Faron, thanks for watching mate, much appreciated, and yes, it does look like a great kit, but I will give an overall assessment at the end of the build. I have seen the 1/32 Lancaster, along with a 1/32 B-17 and B-24! Will be very expensive and take up a ton of room when built, but man, I can only imagine how awesome it would be to build one! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, too mate! Cheers : )
