I’ve got a 2013 g37, an lately have been thinking about selling it an buying a g35 am having some money over to tune an mod it. It’s a gutsy call because I don’t know much about g35s. I know I like the way they look better just don’t know if this play is smart. Would love to hear tips , maybe a older year model like a 04 through 06? I heard the ones later burn more oil, lemme know! Thanks

I’ve never heard someone go this route, i personally think you’d get bored of the g35. The g35 tuned with full bolt ons will be almost as fast as a g37 stock. I will say the g35 looks good but they’re also getting older, if you don’t find a clean one now it’s gonna be a whole undoing of what other people did to them or a ton of maintenance that the other owners didn’t do. If I had to pick I’d pick 04 because the engines are way cheaper than the revups, if you wanted to buy a 50k motor to refresh it it would be really cheap vs revups

The Vq35De is like a motor made from glass that burns too much oil lol, definitely want to upgrade to vhr or go to different platform. G35 still my favorite car tho

It’ll be fine for a good while with me pushing 400 on pump, I don’t think I’ll really be doing e85 all that often honestly and I won’t be driving it to the ground either haha 😂

25mm all around! I would say I could do 30mm in the front to get them flush to the fender

Just because google says stock comes at “280 “ and you read stuff like “adds 14 whp dosent mean you just add it and it will turn into 294 and so on .. most of the de lack in power this aren’t straight from factory at best most sit around 260 if even so due to age and maintenance.. it’s a hit or miss when especially being a de and not a rev up there for im calling cap .

Stock de’s push 220 ish on dynos, 260 would be with typical bolt ons, 270’s on a non revup would be around max you can go without really spending money

@@richardq1144 I agree I have a DE non rev myself I’m already tuned e-mail tune but I don’t think I am making 305 to the wheel . Maybe at the crank but I’ve never seen a non rev make over 270 wheel

Has anyone had this issue My g35 2006 coupe dies while I drive and in order for me to get it back I put it in park and rev it till BAttery lights is gone and get the acceleration back ... I changed the battery a while back for the same reason and I’ve notice a bit of a slow start could that mean the alternator?

The starting issue sounds like either the starter or the starter solenoid, but the driving issue sounds like the alternator. Have you noticed your battery discharging/not being able to start your car? A failing alternator will draw A LOT of power from the battery while you are driving.
