After leaving Catholic boarding school (and I was a very devout Catholic) I went back home, where the local priest asked if I would sing a solo at the Christmas midnight mass. I was glad to accept as singing was my talent. He told me to turn up at 3 pm one week day, in order to practice my solo in the church with the choir. So I turned up at the church but the choir wasn’t there. He greeted me by saying they would come another day, but for now, I could practice my solo piece. Standing in the choir loft overlooking the dark church space below I started singing and he then called me over to where he was sitting at the organ and he started to run his hands up underneath my skirt. When I flinched and moved away from him, his demeanour changed into pure anger and he then tried to manhandle me in order to have his way with me. I managed to escape his clutches and stumbled down the steep steps to the exit door, with him trying to grab me all the way down. I made it to the outside steps, whereupon he grabbed me by the arm and hissed at me that if I ever told anyone about this, I would be committing a mortal sin and be going to hell. I was only 16 years old - but after that I rushed home and told my mother because I didn’t care or want to believe anything about Catholicism any longer. Its quite frankly an evil regime dressed up as Christianity.

@@eamonanthony6767 I sort of DO blame the church I am sorry to say. The fact that celibacy was introduced when there was no need for it. After all, Peter himself had a wife who accompanied him sometimes. The fact that pedophilia has proven to be quite rampant and also homosexual activities amongst seminarians. Celibacy was imposed with force in 1123 and again in 1139. I know the reason stated for it was that Christ Himself was celibate and never married, but the actual reason turns out to be that many of the then married clergy then were quite well off. They were also prohibited from having children, apart from their wives. This is quite contrary to God’s instruction to humanity to go forth and multiply, and a man should be the husband of only one wife. The reason at that time was that the Vatican coffers were in need of filling, and any wealth that married priests had would be inherited by their wife and any children. The money was essentially to be diverted to the church instead. Many wives and children were left fatherless and also penniless. The bible clearly states that marriage is sacred and according to Gods intention for man, as it is said “It is not good for man to live alone”. And it also says that Elders should be married. The riches the Vatican amassed was in part by robbing its married clergy and later on, by selling indulgences. The sexual drive of humans was also created by God, but to be directed in the right way. If thwarted this can lead to impurity within the clergy. The priest who tried to rape me was quite young, and had at least eight siblings. The custom in Catholic Spain then (and I think in other countries) was that the parents dedicate one of their children to the church. This was encouraged by the church, presumably as a means of swelling their priestly ranks. As such, devout Spanish Catholics, who were obviously were not allowed to use any contraception, often had large families, which the church could inveigle the release of, for the priesthood, or to become nuns (in the case of girls). This young priest (as I later found out) was one of those forced into the priesthood. I blame his actions towards me squarely on Catholicism as being the original cause. Apart from that, the endless news and stories of priests abusing children, raping of nuns are never addressed by the church. The senior clergy effectively closes ranks to protect their church reputation and they see themselves as being above common law. They say they will chastise and deal with the matter ‘in house’ but all that happens is that they are relocated to another place or country to carry on as priests and also, sadly free to carry on with their abuse. All the nuns at the boarding school I attended had to give a Dowry to the church as well when entering a convent. That money also became owned by the church. I do blame the entire edifice and structure of Catholicism for multiple offences against God throughout the ages and against their congregation, not least the brainwashing of the laity to make them believe they are the sole representatives of God on earth. You sound like a lovely person, and I have absolutely nothing against individual Catholics, my real anger is directed to the hierarchy who has duped and trapped so many good people into doctrines and dogmas not found in the Word of God, and therefore has impeded the knowledge of what true salvation really means - and it ain’t being an acolyte of a sacramental salvation ministered by sinful priests. God richly bless you too and lead you into all truth.

@@jettyharrison4377 Well actually, it was found out later that this priest did indeed stray big time. Apparently he was helping himself to the collection money on a Sunday then talking himself off to the city away from his parish, to pay for prostitutes. This guy was seriously desperate. He was de-frocked by the his Bishop and subsequently, as a free man now was able to get married - and ended up with 8 children. Looking back I am happy he got out and was able to live a normal life with a wife and children.

It will never happen. They write their own laws. People need to just shut it down and leave that chuch period. If that takes place then justice will be served. No money flowing into their coffers. That is how you shut it down. The creator knows peoples hearts and you can be a spiritually good person without that church. Go help people in the real world instead of participating and giving to them. That is a solution to ending it. Eventually their money will be gone and they won't be able to continue dark deeds.

I was abused by a priest when I was 11 yrs old. Back in the 60s. When I told my mother I was rewarded with a slap in the face. How dare I say something like that about God’s servant!! I checked him out about 10 yrs ago and found out he’d been charged with sexual offences. Bastard!!

The book explicitly states several times that slavery is permitted, be it that the slave must be circumcised, wherewith they prove their bond with the Abrahamic god. Those that should do something about arresting them, are mostly guilty of the very crime they should all be arrested for - Pedophilia & rape along with child sacrifices. When my maternal grandmother was a young girl, she decided to become a nun. The vast majority of nuns came from poor families. My grandmother came from a well-to-do family. When she saw the priests sexually abusing the other nuns (there was a vow of silence and were told it was God's will) she got the hell out of there and became a Methodist.

That's not true. There is no such thing as vow of silence. Since time immemorial, the One, Holy, Catholic Church teaches about sins and how to be reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. To put it simply, it was an unwritten law yet held more power than the actual written laws.

At my Jesuit boarding school, we used to have to stay silent once a year for three days, which was difficult to do at only 12 years old. You can only be reconciled to God the Father through the Person of Jesus Christ only and directly, and that doesn’t mean eating him in a wafer which when swallowed, joins all the other contents of the stomach and gets flushed down a drain. If ever the devil was having a laugh at God, it was to make a religion called Catholicism, who eat their God, which is precisely the practices of pagans. There is only one head of the church, and that is Jesus, and there is only one body of Christ, and that consists of those who acknowledge Him as their true Saviour and follow Him. It is His invisible church. Its not a cult, a denomination or a building. Catholicism is quite frankly evil and the longest existing cult.

My maternal grandmother was raised at an orphanage run by nuns and she believed in her heart that one of those nuns was her mother and the priest was her father. She said that while most children lived in the orphanage, she spent her evenings and nights upstairs with one of the nuns in a private apartment. She also remembered asking the nun if she was her mother? My grandma remembered distinctly being told NO, absolutely not. Years ago, my family tried to look into finding the orphanage and seeing what they may be able to find out but the orphanage had eventually burned to the ground and of course all documents were lost to the fire. So we will never really know the absolute truth but I for one believe my grandma that she believed it in her heart to be true.

When I was a little girl I remember my mom and great granny talked about my great grandad’s experience working for a local church that happens to be a convent also. He was around 12 years at the time. Among with other adolescents they had to remove debris and skeletons of newborns from a tunnel that linked the church to the convent that had not been used for decades. That experience traumatized him and he didn’t showed up the next day although he was in extremely need of the money. I remember they would take me to church on specific occasions and I was terrified. Until one day I told my mother that I wouldn’t set foot in a church anymore. The convent was turned into a school after the 1959 and I had to study there for 10 years. I couldn’t help it but to think about how many horrible things had happened there decades ago. The church and convent are located in a town in La Havana, Guanabacoa called Los Escolapios.

@@joannnelson9847 It was in La Habana, a town called Guanabacoa. The convent was named Los Escolapios. But I know it has happened all over the world. Truly repulsive and sad.

My late husband always said if Priests were allowed to marry there would never be all these scandals in the Church , he was an Alter boy for years that was enough for him he told me.

I was a sex slave in my own marriage, but had too stay in the marriage because after looking to the priest for help, they told me to go home and pray. That was it !!!!. Fifteen years I stayed with him. He was an alcoholic. I graduated from a Catholic Girls Academy High School in 1957. Sex was taboo until marriage. Horrible things happened to myself and my daughters during those 15 years. Women are victimized in all areas of life. Some of the clergy are sex addicts, some are drug addicts, all hiding under their collar. This all SHOULD BE COMING OUT NOW.. People are still in denial, and are diluted to the point that if we disobey the Catholic Church, we will all go to hell. Living under the rule of the Catholic Church, I am realizing now for the past 83 years, that it has been a shaming experience. I left years ago, however I experienced personally Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist We are still enabling corrupt, sinful behavior. Our Lord comes through in abundant ways. It is up to us to take responsibility for our own lives.

I am Catholic. What makes me angry is that it's not just Catholic priests that commit these acts. Ministers and deacons have also been known for the same weaknesses and abuses. Southern Baptist, Mormons, Scientology , etc etc etc.and etc. Until the victims start speaking out instead of feeling shame and fear. Than these offences will continue to happen. Our children and women need their voices heard after generations and generations of abuse.

Sorry for any woman facing that situation. I was an orphan boy at a convent and I will never forget the cruelty dealt to us kids, boys and girls by these nuns. Too horrific too mention here. Definitely no maternal instinct there. So unfortunately there is evil on various fronts of many religious institutions .

The nuns in my Catholic school hit us on the back of our hands with rulers One nun punished 3 boys who were talking in class by completely humiliating them. She made skirts and bows out of crepe paper and made them stand in front of the class all day, wearing bows on their heads and skirts of red crepe paper. We were in 3rd grade- 8 years old. I still remember the boys standing there crying, facing the class for hours. I knew it was wrong even then. As I grew, I saw it more clearly as Horrific child abuse. Satanic

The church covered up these crimes. They were hidden by the Vatican. These sick men were then moved to another community so they could continue to harm new victims. Men who should have been jailed were left to continue sexually abuse pretty well with anyone they wanted. Why did the nuns report the priests? This is like a cult. And if you read about the Crusades and the mass murder of people around the world you would have never signed up for this. The Catholic way is founded on money and money. I truly can't go on about the past. It was so brutal and violent unbelievable.

I am a 64-year-old Canadian, at 12 years old I saw a news story regarding this very topic. It was done by a Canadian news company. Something along the lines of Dateline. They were actually in Brazil covering another story when they stumbled across an orphanage that was full of predominantly white children being supervised by nuns. Upon asking locals what this was about, they were informed that these children were products of priests having relations with nuns. It was common knowledge in this town. From that time on I always had a disdain for the Catholic Church. Among other crimes the Catholic churches perpetuated and swept under the rug, which seems to be rampant, the church either needs a complete overhaul or disband. I often wonder what happened to all those children, and the children that came before them and whom have come after them.

Thank you for sharing. Its amazing that this all has been exposed in small ways before, yet it has a different impact now. I agree, disband it. Its not looking like a cleaner operation than any messy modern-day cult, scientology or that brazilian creepy church 'john of god'. How embarrassing for all of humanity that they are still validated and funded to such a high degree.

I meet a beautiful nun and she told me she was in danger from the church, to be devoted then abused is frightening to think just how long this has been going on.

These must be the most naive or stupid women I've heard cry sexual abuse. It's not right that priests have sex with nuns but these nuns, some who weren't even nuns any longer, need to accept their own guilt.

I feel that this was wrong. Put in this position, I would have left. No,matter what. I will not bow down and become a sinner. There’s questions. They knew it to be wrong. Why did they not leave. I know l would have scratched their eyes out. Take these old priest and put them in retirement. Back Ground check the new ones. Woman in a building. Men away in another building. I could say more but it is a wonderful ideal.

@@bettyoropeza3734 Perhaps you didn't intend to but it sounds like victim blaming because they didn't leave. Also you really cannot speak to what you would do in that situation. I'm a forensic and clinical psychologist and can tell you scores of stories of women who swore they'd leave rather than be in an abusive situations yet for a number of reasons were not able to.

Back in the 80's while I was enduring a severe depression I met a young woman who had been a Nun but had decided to leave the Church. She too was suffering severe depression . We discussed the causes of our sorrows and difficulties in overcoming our disappointments. Having been raised Catholic myself , the realities of the Failures of our religious beliefs and hypocracies of people's teachings of us each, was comforting in a way to share. Validation that we had good hearts and intentions , but also that others had betrayed our trust and used our naive faith against us . We shared empathy and I think a mutual common Faith that Transcended the Betrayals we each had experienced. I was not shocked by what she told me had happened to her and others in the church , I was saddened and felt her grief. She said she had been shocked after joining the Convent to discover that there we're many Nuns who were being abusive and sexually inappropriate with new Novices and Nuns. If the young ones didn't give in to the bullying the abuse and harsher chores and penances were forced on them. I have known for many Decades before the 80's that Rapist and Pedophile Priests existed . I suspected it probably happened that Nuns had Proclivities unacceptable to the Church as well. My friend was heartbroken to learn that she would have to give up being a Nun , because it was not as she Dreamed and Prayed it would be. We agreed it wasn't God's fault , if there really was a God that some people in the Clergy and Convent we're destroying the Church mission.

I'm 71 and a former Catholic, attend Mass regularly and school 1st through 9th grade. Left Church in my early thirty's. I'm so sad to see how men victimize woman under the guise of Jesus representative. I follow Jesus no more people get between me and Him! I can read, and have read the Bible. More than once. Had a friend, after college, who wanted to be a nun. She went as a novice and said there was rampant sexual lesbianism-she left and no longer wished to be a Catholic. Second friend (male) whose family were devout Catholics encouraged their sons to be active in the Church. My friend was one of their sons. He was crippled, one arm was shrunken, he was so happy to be chosen and accepted. He was asked to be an alter boy at age 7. He said he did errands too for the nuns. On one trip over to their house, they had him smell their feet and would sexually molest him during. He grew up with adult feet fetish issues. His family never knew.

I've spent four years in boarding schools run by Catholic nuns, two different convents and two different religious orders, and in neither convent was there any lesbianism. I have no interest in covering anything up as I'm Eastern Orthodox, not Roman Catholic myself.

I pray your friend is safe. Roman catholic is my family's predominance. My dad's side, someone I did not meet, was a nun and my dad did mention, lesibian.

My heart cries out for these women. The amount of sheer power they are faced with is unimaginable. To think... every-day women meet so many naysayers & victim blamers... I can't even imagine what they face. This evil needs to be exposed over & over & over & over until those walls of power are broken the F down!

I remember working at a hotel years ago & it was just after Mount Cashel scandal broke. One of the ladies I worked with & who had been in the girls Catholic orphanage was very angry about the way the girls there were treated by the nuns. No wonder the nuns seemed so bitter all the time. They were victims too.

The one time was by a Police Officer who had offered to take me home. I had become extremely ill from a mickey put in the beverage I was sharing with a friend. My friend decided to go dance with our other 2 girlfriends, as the eatery/bar we were in had a small dance floor. I offered to stay at the table and watch our things. As my friends danced, they became extremely happy & giggled frequently. I remember wondering why they were acting so silly. They were falling all over each other, laughing & kind of making a scene. But, it didn't seem that important at the time because my tummy had started to feel queazy & hurting ... I became seriously ill rather quickly. The next thing I knew, I had fallen out of my chair onto the floor. A server helped me into a chair & went to get the manager & my friends. The manager told me that as sick as I was, that I needed to go home & get some rest. I told him I was too sick to drive. My friend who came with me in my car told me that she was having too much fun to leave. This was not like her at all. Instead of showing concern, she just returned to the dance floor. I told the manager that I thought a mickey in the single beverage we were sharing was the cause of my sickness & my friends behavior. At that time, a police officer that had been standing by the door watching came over and told the manager that he would take me home. The manager asked me if this was okay. I nodded because now I couldn't even talk, bc I was so out of it. I just wanted to go home. The large dude working the door carried me out to the cops truck. It was the cops own truck, not a police vehicle. Even though I knew that was kinda weird, I wasn't able to argue the point, so I just tried to get my seatbelt on, but couldn't buckle it. About halfway home he looked over and pretended that he just noticed the unfastened belt so he said let me help you with your seatbelt, but instead of fastening it, he flung it off & started fondling my boobs. I started crying and tried to say "no" & "stop please," but he just laughed. Then he stopped the truck in a dark secluded area off the road. I was so scared bc I thought " ... crap! This is it. He's going to rape me right here. He was trying to get my bra off, but was having trouble bc I was hunched over w/my head practically in my lap ... my long hair hanging everywhere. At that moment I got so revolted on top of my fear & vomited all over the dash. He started swearing and let go of my boobs to push the vomit back away from the driver's side of the dash. He started the truck up again and took me on home. I feel extremely lucky that he actually took me home, but by then he was just thinking about cleaning up his truck & getting the smell out. Many years later I discovered that it had been X or Ecstasy that was put in our drink. It raises your pulse rate quickly and if you aren't moving around that that is when it can make you extremely ill. So, that's why I got ill and my friend didn't & instead became overly friendly & silly. We think he may have had an arrangement with the server or manager. 😢 Another incident happened while I was pregnant with my first child. The doctor I was assigned was extremely abusive during pelvic exams. My friend who accompanied me to the appointments said it looked like she was fisting me.😖😓 She would say things like, "If this hurts, you'll never be able to have a baby." 😰 Luckily I was able to switched doctors at 8.5 months of pregnancy. I still have nightmares & trust issues to this day from both incidents. The point here is that it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with people in a position of power taking advantage of that power by hurting those within their range of that power.

Someone put something in my drink at a corporate party years ago...luckily my colleague never let me out of her sight and got me medical help. There was a creep trying to get us to go to some shady disco somewhere else. About doctors this is true, some ob/gyn are abusive...i used to be scared to say if something hurts...now i dont let anyone push me beyond my limits. I hope you are able to heal and process those events and regain trust. But remember while we shouldnt be excessively defensive from trauma...we need good boundaries. Trust is earned.

When I was a kid, a beautiful lady had a testimony in our church . She confessed that she was ex-nun from Vatican . She said a woman should be really beautiful to be chosen a nun in Vatican . She also mentioned things like this in the video . After few months, we never heard about her.

I don't believe this. Because it is not the case from what I saw on the TV. The nuns in Vatican are just normal females.

😳🤯💔feel sad about these women, they were truly committed to their belief and disappointed in the worst way... doesn't really surprise me after all the pedophilia scandals. This despicable abuse against nuns by prients has been circulating for many years. These nuns are so brave in speaking out and I cannot imagine what they and many others have had to endure - it is heartbreaking. The Catholic Church protected the guilty, revictimized the victims and turned a blind eye to the suffering. The only vice that can never be forgiven is hypocrisy. I walked away from this church many years ago, and I have never looked back.

My heart breaks for these poor Sisters who have suffered through this egregious abuse of authority and hypocrisy. These Priests are monsters who know full well what they are doing, and know that they will get away with it. It is such an unnatural way of life that breeds this predatory behaviour. It is so far removed from Christs teachings, and the Catholic Church’s response to simply move these known offenders to different communities is disgusting and perpetuates the problem. My prayers are for the victims, that they may find some justice and peace of mind.

I would not want to be a nun. I pray at home. I'm nondenominational. A guess what God loves me still without all the fancy robes.

Francis was elected invalidly. There not even a record of his ordination as a deacon in Argentina, they took 23 YEARS to register his priestly ordination in his baptism documents in Buenos Aires, which means probably hes not even a priest because right procedure was not followed. This means any sacraments he gave to be people were invalid and have to be repeated, this is an avalanche. The church is sadly infiltrated by very bad people. Now the Benedict XVI died wait for the disaster...

I went to catholic school in the 1970's the horrible mental abuse and physical abuse I went through really messed me up I was relieved to go to a Public high school the hatefulness that these nuns had was not from God!I'm happy that I accepted Jeses as my personal savior and became a Christian I feel such sympathy for these nuns

I feel compassion for these women. My great grandmother was fathered by a priest in Poland in 1867. I can't imagine what my great great grandmother went through. I don't know if she was a mear young girl or a nun. My grandmother grew up in a convent or church.

This is so sad and why I don't follow ANY religion, I follow my faith in God, he will always guide me, no man on earth can or will ever manipulate me again.

As an American Catholic, this disgusted me. Those Nuns devoted their entire lives to teaching us well.

I thank my mom and nun of the convent I wanted to join that they denied me from joining. Thank you mom for sparing me from this hurt.

Well he allows it to continue instead of striking them down so maybe it is time to move beyond organized religion. In fact, most religions have similar issues to the Catholic church.

Catholic Church celibacy requirements had no basis in religion, but rather an attempt to protect financial assets. The church's wealth needed to remain with the organisation, and not passed down to descendants of priests, bishops , popes?

Yes "Kipper" is right that a servant of pope can't be a servant of God . Pope n God are two different masters. Pope's kingdom is earth where he has got everything like respect, prestige, power in administration, guards, cloak, crown, throne like a king on earth while God is from heaven. They have different orders. Pope orders : Keep Sunday holy. God orders : Remember to keep Sabbath holy. ( Sabbath=7th day=Saturday). God bless all. Amen.

He contributed financially in the building of the church in the 1860s. He also, during those years, changed his mind many times between being religious and not being religious. I think one should separate accepting and respecting from believing, and religion from faith. I have a faith of my own, however not in a form of any religion. There is a difference between believing in something of your own, and believing in something that is written down, organized, institutionalized or even forced upon.

What terrible legacy! My heart goes out to all victims of spiritual abuse. Unfortunately, it's not restricted to the Catholic Church. It's so sad that these abusers have taken the prerogative of thinking for those in their groups because they claim to know best. Some even claim to know your thoughts. Without shame, they deceive and claim holiness.

I was born and raised in the entrails of the Catholic Church and believed all I was told. My father: a family doctor preached for the last 45 years of his life and served God as a true Christian. I, in spite of knowing God did as I pleased until the 21st Century when I found Him and my eyes were opened to the truth of the "Men of God" who are trying to destroy the Church and erase Christianity from the face of the world 🌎. There are good Catholics and good Clergymen and I stand behind them; but I became desilusioned with the lie of the sanctity of the Popes. They are fallible men as that attribute belongs to God alone. Then the cover-up that has always been and is part of the Catholic system. Shame on: Bishops, Cardinals and Popes who have looked the other way by becoming accessory for sexual abuse and as guilty. They exhalt their bond to themselves over Christ. Your exposure in this documentary is absolutely 💯 👌 🔥 Magnifique, factual while exposing and unveiling the truth and reality of the Pedophiles and rapers of nuns. And with this Antipope Francis I: heretical and blasphemous blasphemous tounge is too much to bear so I have come to the conclusion that the Church prevails but men pervert the message and become intoxicated with the power they have over others.

At the age of ten a Priest had an intimate interest in me. He wanted me to be an altar boy and said I could learn how, but so as not be distracted by the people praying at the pews, I could learn in his office. He would touch me in ways that made me uncomfortable. He first had to ask my aunt who took care of me while my mother was in the hospital with Tuberculosis. When I told my aunt if I could be an altar boy at the local Catholic church, she didn't hesitate for a moment, and said firmly, ''NO!'' To this day, looking back to 1959, I now know why she was so quick to respond, she died some years back, but I wish now that I had had the chance to thank her for sparring me a life of reliving a nightmare. After hearing horrible stories like these, I had had enough of Satanist priests and their worthless religion. I Wrote to the Catholic Church where I was born, and demanded that my name be stricken from their records as a member of the Catholic religion. I have lived a happy wonderful life worshiping Jehovah, the true God of truth and holiness. I feel sorry for all those children (and those poor nuns), that fall into Satan's trap! Interesting how this video out of many on this site that I have just subscribed to has over 100k views. We all know why. I am myself a victim of childhood grooming and sexual abuse by a priest which took place at the Salesian college Farnborough in England during the 1970s and 80s. My mother who worked there was also groomed during the 1970s and 80s and made pregnant by a Priest there and had to have an abortion. I have just lost my case due to lack of evidence and cried while watching this video. No where near enough has been done or recognised regarding the abuses in the catholic church. They still can walk away unscathed yet we have to live with the experiences for the rest of our lives with no compensation or public apology.

so sorry the system failed you the system is part of it I suggest you look into symbolism its exhibited in the judicial system do not give up your fight perhaps go from a different angle seek out other victims, go public and change your legal representation the judge may be a member I wish you the very best, you have done nothing wrong, they are the wrong and evil perpetrators and you are the brave one

I whole heartedly applaud the efforts and results of this researched documentary. It was very very shocking to know the extent to which such abuse has been going on , and for such a long time ! And even more shocking that the hierarchy, right to the top, know about this and have turned a blind eye, and even after public revelations and parliamentary notices, have tried to hush the matte up. In spite of the very disturbing 1.40+ min documentary, the heartening story of Marie Douclin, the Canadian woman priest, and her clear and rightful views about the proposed changes in the Church laws, and all her efforts and firm belief in a the almighty, all powerful entity we call God, who is neither a male nor a female, yet whom, we have come to address as a male, since we say 'He', due to the habit of patriarchal society for ages..... Wishing Priest Marie, all the very best ! Hoping that sense prevails in the patriarchal church.

Living in a aboriginal catholic mission in very remote australia. There was a cave where the nuns’ babies were buried. Eventually there was another cave used to bury the nuns, after they were slaughtered . The local inhabitants could no longer take their cruelty. I could go on but will not….

This isn't even shocking really. If you're capable of going with a child, you're capable of anything. It's sickening how they hide behind God while they do these horrific things. It's people like that,that makes religions look bad. All the innocent children and young ladies that have been taken advantage of and have had their lives ruined and taken, is heartbreaking.

I absolutely agree. Though this is not new neither is the documentary. The documentary is from 2018 and sadly this abuse of the Nuns is widely known of as is the abuse some of the Nuns perpetrated against young girls & boys in the orphanages and even some young ladies in the Convents & Homes for Unwed Mothers:( I’m glad that they decided to air the documentary again, because it should be kept in the publics audience for simple knowledge alone. Though I’m not a fan of the Feminist Biased Twist to it. Facts are facts no amount of feelings will change that.

The story was already told by an ex-priest by the name of Alberto Rivera ( in Alberto by Chick magazine ) many years ago. He got converted to true Christianity after serving the RC for many years. Unfortunately, the victims never read this magazine in the 80's, they may have not joined the nunnery of RC.

I remember being about 8 years old seeing the dysfunction in my families home- marriage just did not look to appealing! However, I told God back then that I wanted to become a nun. And of course that did not happen but I thank God it did not. Coming out of a dysfunctional home and thinking you are going to a safe haven in the church and encountering this mess Wow! And it is not only the Catholic church- there are wolves in all denominations! Those of you who are true followers of God must expose these acts- do not be afraid! God will stand with you! And if it costs you your life - you know where you are going! Better to be judged by people than our Father in heaven "the one who can destroy not only your body but your soul for eternity" If we as Christians / in the churches can not get it together how are we going to help save God's children??? We are losing a lot of His children because of our churches! Not something we want to do!!!

I've known this since I was a little girl. My grandmother's best friend was someone who escaped that situation. A German girl who escaped to the USA.

My parents told me the chicago police department was told to keep quiet & threatened(by higher ups)when they were called to check out screaming reported by neighbors living near the monastery if they spoke up about the dead aborted babies they recovered in the trash bins!! Those mother superiors & those that enabled these monsters should do time!!

Why is it when we think of a nun, we don't picture a kind person? At least I don't, and even as a small child I felt the coldness and unkindness from them. I was terrified of them if I ever had to speak to one, when for example, sent by my granny to donate her saved up money to them. Not enough I was giving them money, they were always very condescending and made me feel awful as they were looking at the handfuls of change and me and asking: what? This, a donation and they were so unkind that I remember this 58 years later!! I was only just 7. There were very many horrible encounters with priests in my life, that's why I don't go to church! Catholic Church is not the church of God. It's the church of greed, deprivation and it only exists so it can keep filling their coffers with money!! They wouldn't allow their priests to marry for the simple reason so the priest's possessions and future inheritance all go to the church! That's why the Vatican has got so embarrassingly rich!! No one even mentions that that's against Jesus's teachings!! The Vatican should be emptied of all their wealth, all should be sold and the money given to the starving people!!! People still keep giving them money, depriving themselves of food! This is the biggest deception of all times! God will sort them but in meantime we'd like them answer for all their crimes, whilst they're alive!!! Rest in Peace dearest Emanuela !!! We all know the priests have committed that mortal sin! 😭

All these priests raping nuns and children, clearly don't believe in God and they only choose this profession ( yes profession not calling!) just to have a free pass to abuse children. But, the cover is off! We all know what they're up too, and perhaps some innocent priests get tarnished with the same brush, but that's good, as they'll have to work so much harder to weed the church of these extremely dangerous elements, dressed in cassocks to put us off the scent. I've read a - Dutch - book written by a woman who had served the catholic church (I don't want to use capitals) by doing all the household chores and cleaning of the churches. It was slave labour, she never got paid and she was far from the only one. I don't remember what made her wake up. Perhaps she was tired...

Actually, those who live closest to it already left the church or are in the brink of leaving it. Why? well, rape and sex abuse by priests is one thing, but the cover up of these abuses by their superior is another.

At no church I attended as a child did these acts happen to me. None of them were Catholic. As a survivor from other experiences I pray for each individual whom experienced unwanted assaults. Special thanks to everyone giving them this opportunity to voice what has taken place.❤

In my novitiate, the director wrote on the board on the very first day the words, 'Omni Malo a Clero', Roughly translated.. 'All evil comes from the clergy' , he told us never ever forget it. 40 years a priest, I have tried to keep it always before my eyes.

If you are being abused by someone high up in the church, (or someone tells you someone high in the church has been abusing them) and feel uneasy for outing them - just remember - even God kicked out his highest angel for his deeds. Just because they have high places in the church does not mean they should stay there.

Interesting how it’s a sin to have a baby out of wedlock, and mother, and child both punished for it. Yet here are priests creating the very situation that they condemn.

I was raised in a very strict Catholic home, I went to Catholic schools,my teachers were nuns,I had nothing but respect for the nuns, just listening to what these ladies said about the priests made me very upset and I ended up crying.I am still a Catholic,I pray the rosary and follow the ten commandments but I have lost respect for the Catholc priests and can not look at them the way I did in the past.Some of these priests were also sexual abusing young boys.This is just sick.

My dear I was born and raised a Catholic I was 27 when I became a Born Again Christian Now i am 71years and i have never continued going to the Catholic church because way back when I became a Born Again Christian I started reading the Bible and earnestly believed and prayed only to Jesus because in the Bible Jesus said pray to the Father (God) and also Jesus said to come to Him and He will give us rest (peace etc).So I never went back to the Catholic Church . Now with my family wife and son we don't go to any church but just read the Bible believe and pray and God has always been with us and taken care of us and Miraculously provided every thing we need and is preparing us for His Coming to take us away to be with Him for ever and ever. I am borne into a Hindu family and consider humanity and personal development as my directive in life. In 72 years of my life, over 50 of them showed me the weaknesses and secrecy of the Roman Catholic Church in so many forms where human life is concerned. I have been educated in Catholic institutions in my school going years and in later years have worked in the social service field as a physician and programme director. These years have shown me the fallibility of the Church's integrity through their secrecy and control of financial matters, the unbalanced influence on the human lives and the indestructible strength of the patronage of their so called 'celibate male priests'. Quite sickening when the truth is made known. I have accepted that I am among so many others, unable to create any change in these inequities. Hence I chose to stop working with them. If one considers Universal Truth as the ultimate God-head, then such a church is unnecessary. While I do not deny that much good has been effected by the church, some of the wrongdoings it 'allows' are unpardonable in a social justice point of view in human life. Your documentary spells this out so well and I complement you for this truly good work. The Church is just an instrument of power, influence, money and politics and every human interaction with it will bear a cost. My goodwill is with all humans who seek solace in the Truth.

Thank you for bringing this excellent documentary to light. The abuse of the nuns is impossible to grasp, and the sad reality that the church is only addressing this grave matter in private is deeply worrying and disturbing. As one who used to be a Catholic a long time ago, I see with despair in my heart and my soul how, not only in the Catholic church but also in so many other religions, how abuse and their perpetrators are protected while their innocent victims are made to suffer,adding insult to an injury. If we want this to change, we must demand from governments from human rights organizations action! And by actions I mean proper channels of justice to be open and available to the victims of this abominable crimes, that not only destroy lives but also destroy faith in God, who is not the father of lies, manipulation and deception utilised by those who call themselves " channels of God on earth" . These are some sick bastards. My mother taught us as small children to not be alone or trust other adults. I remember a talk when I was about 6 and my 5 year old brother said "so it's James st girls people go after?". My mother assured him that he wasn't any safer than the girls were. Later when he was about 10 he came home from church and told my mother some things in private. We didn't go back to that church.

Even as I now head ito old age and a lifetime within the Church I wonder of late why I still believe in the RC CHURCH let alone remain in it ..Rebellious Cardinals and modernist priest's and laity who really don't know what or who to believe...I just close off to much of it and maintain a personal spirituality based on Biblical reading and my personal relationship with God and the Sacraments etc..

@@brendanmccarthy6368 yes. I do the same. I go church very frequently, confess also frequently and go to some church events. But i dont buy into groups. Theres always someone who is disfunctional. I dont like that. Theres also private vows. A person can consecrate to Christ outside any monastery or community. This was common in the early church before a lot of monasteries started in the 5th century. Although notice that first monasteries people live as semi hermits meeting only in specific occasions. I honestly think that avoided many problems

The saddest part here is that the rules that priests and nuns cannot marry and have families, is actually a man-made rule. For decades, there have been requests to change this. Having worked for the Archdiocese, I know for a fact that it has everything to do with money. If nuns and priests were permitted to marry, that would mean the Catholic Church would have to foot the bill for families, as well as paying massive medical costs to care for those families. By pushing chastity, they believe they can isolate, use and abuse the most vulnerable. I am a Catholic and believe the majority of priests, monsignors, nuns, bishops and cardinals are in it for the good; however, the small percentage of evildoers have made it bad for the majority. In addition, most have no control over the laws of the church. If an analysis were to be done, I guess a comparison to a cult could be presented and a conclusion be made that the Catholic church does resemble a cult with many similar qualities. Internally, they refuse to change with the times; however, those hypocrites internally involved don't even believe they are doing anything wrong. They believe they are above all the rules and better than all their congregants, and will continue to find ways to justify all of the evil within. The writing is on the wall when Catholics are leaving in droves. Most are finding Bible based Christian churches where they feel much more comfortable. I believe it is only a matter of time where the Catholic Church eventually crumbles. Remember this: God don't like ugly!!!

As a practicing Catholic, I am livid that this happened. I'm just glad I know a lot of good priests who are just as pissed and angry about this type of behavior among their brothers in Christ and who would do what was necessary to protect their flock in a time of crisis.

@meme-vd5rm the devil wants you to think that way. Attending Mass is very important. Why would you want to give up receiving Christ; body, blood, soul, and Divinity? That's what Catholics in your position forget. What these men did is not a reflection of the faith itself. It does not negate the historical fact that Christ still gave us the Churchand he gave us the Mass to actually and truly receive him. Which you can only do by attending Mass. Pray. Pray very hard especially for our clergy and religious.

It's very healing to know that this loving woman was finally sent to hear the HORRIFIC stories of these mentally, spiritually, sexually abused and broken nuns! She was truly an instrument of God's love and peace. I am thankful SOMEONE in the Catholic church can exemplify justice and the true nature of Christ---over the IMPOSTORS rolling in their ego's and money! No vow of poverty for them: It is easy to bully and abuse women who have been psychologically manipulated into giving up all their GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS to their own money & power! Or anyone else, for that matter. They ought to be ashamed to blaspheme God's name with such behavior! It is UNCONSCIONABLY & DEMONICALLY, NARCISSISTIC! These evil men have been appointed by other SELF-APPOINTED men JUST AS EVIL as they are! "GOD" has not appointed ANYONE to REPLACE him on this earth---but to be his sons and daughters and HAVE THE SAME MIND OF CHRIST! To be filled with his spirit of love, and do good for all mankind! So sad. The fact that the priests would do this and the church protected them and punished the nuns makes it worse.

Let's expose these demons ,let's share this info far and wide and not let them get away abusing children no more !!!

We have been for a very long time here in my area. I'm native american, our history with the church had been everything that nightmares are made of. Many already know about the obvious issues. Historically, even when natives wished to become Christians (many of us still are in a way) if they chose anything other than catholicism it was wrong and many of them left again. Submission doesn't come well to us. Haha It was nothing more than a trickle effect of forced Submission. It wasn't until 1973 that we earned "Freedom of Religion". 1973...before that, we could not force removal of ANY church from our lands. It was too late at that point. As of now, we only make up 1.8% of the US and Canada. Blood quantum will finish the rest of us off now.

@@haleyguthrie3113 It is atrocious what has been done by those of European descent and the Church since the invasion. I am not Indigenous but I have long been disgusted with the truth of the history! The last Christian run boarding schools were closed around 1996 which isn't all that long ago. Hitler learned a LOT from the Catholic and Baptist run boarding schools which were nothing less than concentration camps! I am truly hopeful hearing that the Canadian Indigenous community has a population grown that appears to be improving! I am glad that so many are now coming out from under that darkness and I am SO glad that submission does not come to you well! I just see it as all a lie they told Indigenous folk because Christianity is about hierarchy and white men being at the top with it trickling down to everyone else. They never intended to share anything equally with anyone whose skin was brown or black or female. It was a ruse to control everyone while they enslaved people, broke down their culture and world so the Church could profit! That and stole land because they deemed it as God's will. Oh... other than a few words from "The Church" has the Vatican EVER paid for the lives lost or enslavement of Indigenous People that they profited from? Not that you could ever pay enough for what they've endured and lost! Words are worthless and just hot air wafting out of the Vatican! "Oh sorry some of our priests, bishops and nuns tortured, indecently assaulted and murdered your children for decades" some how just doesn't cut it! No! Reparations instead not worthless words spoken centuries later for a few minutes at most! But then we all know exactly what the Vatican has valued most since its birth... power and money!

@@ghoffses thank you, even I didn't know some of the things you said. Many of us remain Christian is some way or another. It's when the churches start stepping on toes that we NOW have such a big issue. Catholics especially for some reason. Our community remains divided between peace and holding onto grief. Can't blame either side. I see it both ways. Thank you for your kindness. If ever in the PNW, come see us. Our borders are open most of the time. We curate many of our peoples things and centers.

surprising! My Grandmother was 14 and unwed in the 1930s she went to an unwed mother's home where nuns cared for her. She's not Catholic but remembers them with great fondness

It's horrifying to learn that intense time and age this abuse is still rampant. Since I was a young girl I decided to separate myself from the catholic church i saw things that I didn't understand but my instinct told me to stay away and I'm not sorry I found God by myself and I'm very happy. I don't trust men but I love God I hope these women can heal mentally and physically.

@@eugeniogalapon5712 unfortunately the world population has passed eight billion two weeks ago, the earth has limited resources and is already in stress, especially the oceans, and still this wicked lying greedy church wants to control ignorant uneducated women to do their bidding, they encourage poor people not to use contraception, because that is their cheap source of supply, and when you are trapped in poverty I do not see this church helping these people, that is why the drug trade can terrorise these countries, the poverty is so awful they have no choice if they want to eat but to be dominated by these thugs.

It is time to do what is right and just and put these predators in prison.

So those of us “regardless of denomination need to listen to, support, & pray for these individuals who have suffered these atrocities, those of us who consider ourselves to be TRUE CHRISTIANS” well Catholics are TRUE CHRISTIANS As well. And though there are many of us who don’t support our church in the same ways we once did we still, most of us find it prudent to support our church & Pope Frances who’s been a blessing Catholicism hasn’t received in a long while! Particularly when it comes to how he is choosing to handle matters such as these. He doesn’t shy away from them nor does he make excuses for past history’s decisions on the dealing of them. All that said the Catholic Church is hardly the only creed or church for that matter to be disgraced by a member or members of the clergy! Baptist, Hasidic, Mormons ,Evangelists, Orthodoxy-Arminian, Russian, & Greek too, Born Again Christians, & even Scientology!!! Oh don’t get me started on them! And yet every other I mentioned has had troubles ranging from Fraud to Adultery, to Rape & Pedophilia & even Murder! So should ALL OF THOSE CHURCHES PARISHIONERS STOP SUPPORTING THEIR CHURCH/S???

It never ceases to amaze me the depths these depraved people will go to and yet on the surface behave like the pious clergymen which they truly believe they are. There must be some body within the church that will take these accusations seriously and investigate each and every one of them. No wonder the church is losing credulity, it seems that they are complicit in protecting these monsters.

@@coffeecrimegal5968 I have no problem with people taking comfort in their religion. I have a problem with criminal predators remaining not only free but allowed to continue their crimes with impunity while wearing the sheeps clothing of being "gods messenger." Religion should be a comfort not a torment. I backed away from religion because of my doubts but if others find comfort great. But for the love of all that is Holy, make it safer to worship!

As long as it is a patriarchy this will never end.

Yes it does go both ways, but the male sex is far more aggressive in regards to physical and sexual abuse, and their victims are more often female. ​@@joncrane7661
