Do you proofread these videos before uploading them? I think NOT ! You said the engines would cost 22 Billion dollars ??? The total for both jets is suggested to possibly run up to $5 Billion. I think you meant to say 22 Million. You also said the jet would be able to go up to 5 times faster. The air frame of the 747 will not support that kind of speed. I am not a expert but for me to notice such glaring errors on your part is just ridiculous! Read your material before posting!

Not much, if any, technical research is done here in this channel. A supersonic jet would most likely need to be a delta wing or similar, who would seriously rip apart a 747 for that? That's almost as good as a newly developed aircraft....and then piece it together with previously untested new parts for something as demanding and challenging as a president's airplane? And all of that with a fuselage never meant for supersonic flight. GOOD JOKE....

Yes and did you also know that there are not just two AF1’s? Speaking in terms of how they are outfitted technically yes, with all of the upgrades in security and updates in the interior layout there are only two planes manufactured and in perfect flying condition designated for the president’s use. Though any of the numerous airplanes that are in the Air Force’s flight arsenal have the call sign Air Force 1 when the president is on board.

The title is a lie. Lies get thumbs down.

AtA refueling seems very significant to omit!

A plane that size and structure could never fly at 5 times the speed of sound , even at high altitude it would simply diintegrate unless it only flies in Unicornalnd

You want Mach 5, the aircraft would have to look like an oversized SR-71, Especially if your carrying the normal complement of people and extra news reporters that get to tag along.

It's Unconscable not to have the ability to refuel in mid air! It's imperative to give Airforce One the ability to fly longer and further than any other private jet, it's simply common sense, and the ability to refuel as needed!!👍👍👍

I worked at Boeing and it definitely can be refueled in flight! Why do you think that a refueling station flys in conjunction with AF1? Not only do they have these capabilities there is a cargo carrier that lands before the president does wherever he is going. It carries a limo, a Marine 1 copter, refueling stations for these additional transports, parts, mechanics, and other equipment and supplies. As well as multiple jets that fly at different compass points and varying altitudes from AF1.

@@BobbyTucker now guys, Apple’s spell correction can pick what word they want to use and the spelling at any time. I had an excellent English and Grammar teacher that was so good that I have to recheck everything I’ve typed before hitting send. All because Mrs Lowe tried to instill it in all of her students brains so that we wouldn’t sound like illiterate hillbillies. It certainly has stuck with me for well over 6 decades.

The new AF1 is only going to cost 5.3 billion dollars, but the generator upgrade is 22 billion. Don't you mean 22 million, and not billion?

The narrator or the writer of the script for this video has embellished obviously. Though not by a whole lot. I believe that the script probably read close to 2 billion, not 22. Each VC 25 engine that GE will provide for the two new presidential aircraft’s are a cost of almost 325 million each. This would put the cost of the engines alone at 1.4 billion by today’s prices. If anything extra or improvements are required then this could push the cost very close to 2 billion. The balance of the cost for each aircraft, that will be manufactured to update and upgrade each to the specifications that are required to make it a presidential signified flying Oval Office, can be seen on the Boeing website. There are many technologies that are designed for these airplanes alone. So Boeing can not just take an already manufactured jet and upgrade it to meet the specifications for what is designated as a plane used by the president on a regular basis. It would cost much more to re-engineer a plane, by removing pretty much the guts of the previously manufactured aircraft. It takes a lot of classified, & patented technology as well as specialized components to be used in a military jet of this design.

I like the new Air Force One is really Cool. 😎 I’m not sure 🤔 why nobody like the new Air Force One plane. It’s more like a presidential aircraft.

My son is lead Engr. for Boeing out of Portland, Oregon and his group is working on one part of this huge plane. No info given to mom but still proud of his work.

Seems to me that when you're designing an improved (supposedly) Air Force One from the bottom up, you wouldn't leave out the air-to-air refueling feature, which seems like it could be a valuable feature to have when it might be needed. I mean, how hard could it have been to have included that capability in the initial design?

Just a simple FYI....lol Technically, “Air Force One” is used to designate any Air Force aircraft carrying the President.

You’re right! Any of the 300+ jets that the Air Force has can be a presidential plane when pressed to get him in the air and out of danger. Unless it’s a helicopter, then it’s Marine 1.

I like the current paint job. Looks Presidential, but understated. No need for red. However, I am wondering about no air to air refueling.

There is a need for red our flag is Red, White and Blue. Not white, blue and red. The red on the new plane is understated but very impressive. There is very little red color on the new planes. But like butt holes we all have our preferences.

This is a very worrying situation where it CANNOT BE REFUELLED IN MID AIR. This a DOWNGRADE.

Autopilots from the movie "Airplane" earned their "Stripes" there. A 747 is shown crashing into the airport terminal near the end of the movie.

It is important to have intercept missiles with the air plane in case enemy launches missile to the plane.

Some of the Declassified info about the current AF1, it currently has mid air refueling capabilities, there are defensive capabilities (they won't disclose what those capabilities are, but it has some) and is nuclear strike proof. Also NO atmospheric aircraft has Mach 5 capabilities yet, even the SR71 has a record speed of Mach 3.4

If they're wrong about the plane being able to fly at an impossible 3500+ mph then they're likely wrong about many other things, like airborne refueling. The new Air Force One may not even be a Boeing. I hear Airbus can build a jet that doesn't have pieces fall off at 20,000 ft.

There is no supersonic 747 but I do think Emerites is working on a supersonic A380.... That's what the leader of the free world should be in even if it's today's version.
