What an extraordinary man and a human being. He held his title with such style and grace. Like the Dr. King video, it's very difficult to choose 1 out of the 10 rules of success. I love them all. My favorite rule that touches me is showing love. Showing love is so important when you're in a role of authority or the one following authority. It shows humility, gratitude, and inner strength that is never forgotten. When I'm running on empty and someone says: "Thank you for being here." , all of my weariness was all worth it. :-)

Wow! What a man. I continue to be impressed by him. I was touched by No. 10 Give Love and recognise the need to adhere to No. 9: Don't be afraid to ask questions; but I live by Number 5: Worry more about what you want to do. Although I have held this principle for years, while listening to Mr. Obama just now, it occurred to me that I ought to concentrate more upon the journey than the destination because it is still a worthwhile endeavour building a legacy as it is to leave a finished product. One of my goals is to plant a million trees because I want to help to protect the environment in Jamaica. This is a really big and important thing (I thought) but believe it or not, I had considerable push back when I attempted to plant 50 trees earlier this year. I went to great lengths to show that I was going to be responsible in where I put these trees, but that didn't impress some important people. While watching this video I had an epiphany, and what I have decided to do is to change my tactics and so influence and help others who have genuine sway and greater resources in this society who are already in the environmental movement to help me to plant these trees and enact legislation to preserve our green spaces. By so doing I'll get my trees planted sooner and I'll probably get others on the environmental bandwaggon as I can leverage their support for my particular piece of the cause. So I don't have to be the woman who is responsible for saving my country's environment and have my name go down in history here; I just have to be one of the women who gets our environmental protection more securely on the national agenda. By executing my vision in a different way I may actually succeed in doing something meaningful. I suppose that this little reflection shows that I've adhered to No. 1 and learned from my failure too. :o)

The best thing I like about Obama's rules for success is rule #3 press on. We all face oppositon, obstacles, and struggles. There will be times when things are not easy but you have to press your way through the difficulties and hard times. In the end you can say I made it. You become stronger and better in the end.

That u learnt throughout your life.. Really one truth that u mentioned is that on our death bed we don't remember our achievement but our family happiness matters alot for us..so for that we should be thankful to our family members and do our best in everything so that none regret left in ur old age.. Evan, great video as always. Its very difficult to pick just one. My top two are 1. Worry less about what you want to be and more about what you want to do. I am going to school full time online, working a full time job that is at times beyond stressful and am blessed to be married these past 20 years to my best friend and defiantly better half. We have two children, one in college and as the days were on I wonder where I am headed in life. I wonder where we as a family are headed. I have had many jobs and done more in 43 years than most people do in a lifetime...but I still feel a bit lost. figuring out what I want to do versus where I want to be has become a main focus. 2. Show love. Whether that is just giving your family a hug and a kiss before you walk out the door or setting up date night with your significant other to giving the last dollar in your pocket to a homeless person or helping to plan the retirement party for a coworker. It is not easy to show love to those who wrong us. When somebody cuts in front of you and takes the parking spot you were waiting for or the person who was rude to you when you called about your cable bill to ask a question. We never know what is going on in someone else's life. Be thankful.

Fairy tales for adults. The message is: it's you, not the world. Bit in reality, we live in the world with huge economic and social division and inequality, in which people have completely different starting points. The purpose of such "motivations" is to teach and encourage people to blame themselves and remain complacent with the existing bad system.

Hello, thank you for vol. 2. My favorite is number 4, Learn from others. I've found that listening to and understanding what others have done, or said, may help me avoid a "pot hole" in the road, or a cliff at the next turn. :) But there are times when we just have to learn through our own experience, and perhaps then others learn from us. :) Totally enjoying your videos and thank you for sharing and the opportunity to comment.

Evan- Keep up the great work! Hey, I teach "Credit Recovery" here at my high school. I have a "Theme of the Day" every day, and today it was "Perseverance," so I showed my students Ben Lionel Scott's "Perseverance," followed by this video. I use your "Top 10 Series all the time, for my students have journals, and write down your "Top 10" as your video goes along. You are helping kids you don't even know with your great work. Of course, Evan. Just know, as I said, that your videos are helping kids every day. Please keep either excluding foul language, or beep it out. When that occurs, due to the guidelines I am under, I can't show otherwise fantastic content, life changing things that your series brings to kids. Moreover, perhaps this has brought to your attention an avenue in which you can move your own brand forward- in education, with school, school districts, and "Credit Recovery" classes specifically. Great job! Oh yah, I see that pic of you and your wife in the background. She looks Filipino. My wife is Filipino. Gotta love the white boy/Asian women connection. :)))))

I believe that anyone can achieve justly about anything. The opportunities are always there. The only thing about some achievements or to become a success it may take more time for the success to become prevalent to life. The worst thing about being successful to great extents, a good portion of the people whom you wanted to be a success to or for, they may not be alive to enjoy the endeavor and the outcome of what was expected. Some endeavors are greater than to just impress people but to help them.

I appreciate this channel and watch it regularly for a daily dose of motivation. it helps so much. my favourite quote is ' worry less about what you want to be, and worry more about what you want to do' it has a huge impact if we dive deep into the logic. please reduce the amount of information in the side bar, it is way too distracting and annoying.

Even when you are struggling, even you are discouraged and you feel like other people give up on you. DO NOT EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF. There is no excuse for not trying. Learn from mistakes and do not quit. I am gonna press on because I do not have time to complain and feel sorry for myself and stop crying. Worry more about what you to do. Worry less about what you to be. Don't be afraid to ask questions when you need help. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, instead, it is a sign of strength. Because it shows that you do not know something new and it allows you to learn something new. Show Love! Last but not least, refuse to give up!
