He see the beautiful things because , they experience what is the alternative and even worst reality. Traffic is cost by poor urban planning many many years ago probably 30-60 years in the making, poor infrastructure by the following leaders as well as lack mass transit, which is being fix recently by building railways left and right. Even first world country have poor traffic problem specially capitals/high density area. And just as worst as ours Pollution is given due to our status as 3rd world country, we really need some fix on Govt induce recycle drive as well as factories that handle it, and well education, but pinoy are pinoy maraming balahura sa basura. Corruption: civil war in which they experience is the epitome result. They know Philippines aint that bad, we might have corruption on lower levels, but it is not as problematic as what cause syrian civil war. Altho people being too political and dont understand World politics/crisis and keep on blaming govt and start riot and get some accidental death = might cause civil war Corruption can only be lessen but not totally wipeout. Unless govt needs to kill every corrupt people and america/international/human rights goes around blaming the local govt.
