Father and son, separated by a civil war, now reuniting after a decade. dude, I have an instant pool of tears here in my room now! My heart is overjoyed.

This is my third time watching this and yet I still cry!! Once upon a time, I rushed back to the Philippines to see my Dad for the last time. I was wondering why a lot of my friends were in the Manila airport and were boarding the same plane as me, going to GenSan. Upon arrival in GenSan, my brother told me that my father expired and joined our Lord, less than 3 hours before I arrived in NAIA. That was the saddest day of my life. Take care of each other, my Syrian friends. ❤️

Happy for you Basel reuniting with your father after a long, long while. I was an ex-OFW in KSA and had the chance to visit the Holy Land and your country Syria. We enjoyed mingling with your kababayans there and ate kabsa as well and some good ole Syrians sweets. Syrians are just as welcoming and friendly surprisingly with Filipinos like me. I also had ka officemate na Syrian in Riyadh whose name is Bilal, one soft-spoken who is very proud of your country. We ate lunch together and share many stories. He is one proud Syrian. I love babas positivity.He can still managed to smile despite of the situation in their country.To think their family were separated by war.

I'd seen it twice already and still I couldn't help my tears flowing. The joy in the face of your baba when he first saw you again after 10 years and that warm hugs from the 2 of you at the airport, wow, so touching. I wish I can experience the same with my father whom I have not seen since birth, but at my age now ,70, he must have been dead already, never had a picture of him so I don't know how he looked. Reminds me of the day I picked up my parents who flew (first time on plane) from Manila to Los Angeles after many years of being away. I saw tears rolled down from my father's eyes as he hugged me so tight. I'm glad that you finally reunited with your father - I know exactly how you feel. I had the same feeling when I went home to the Philippines after 20+years staying in the US due to some circumstances. Seeing my parents after all those years is too much to handle…. Like you said “ if you could only bring back the lost time “. Anyways, it’s not too late, enjoy every second you have with your father and we all wish you both happiness and God’s love, protection and blessings.
