The Second Phase of the writing continues. The world expands and becomes more dangerous, as the Necromancer develops into Sauron and the land of Mordor replaces Dol Guldur as his true home. The 'New Hobbit' is becoming 'no treasure-hunt, no there-and-back-again journey.'
