As Hikaru mentioned, many players are not nearly as highly rated as they should be because they couldn't play tournaments during COVID. So they might be GMs if not for that

But as i know you already stated in one video that Pragg and Vaishali is the only bro-sis pair in chess history who became grandmaster.

That's the devil photographers have to pay sometimes when there's mixed light temperatures to contend with :( You can see a blue shift in the colour balance on the table top (it's quite mild), but I daresay the focus was nailing the skin tones and the white of Salimova's clothes. Always better to push slightly blue than end up with a yellow cast. Going by the noise in the photo, I'd guess the light levels were low, which adds to the issue too (Adobe's 'AI' noise remover is great, but it tends to change hues slightly too). Either way, excellent spot @juanjan_ ! :)

She wasn't officially 2500 or more, but fide changed mind by being 2500 in the official list and instead let instead if you passed 2500 on live rating it counts as 2500 norm. She reached I think 2502 live and her peak officially is 2497 which for example 20 years ago if you be that you couldn't be gm but I don't know how much time they changed mind but they allowed live rating counts. All except Salimova are GM. She is IM.

@@hosseinmohammadi8776 That's not true, if it were FIDE would be showing Vaishali as GM, they are showing her as IM in all Candidates games.

We have a proverb in Italy, " buon sangue non mente"😊 I am not sure it can be translated properly, literally it sounds " good blood does not lie" meaning Vaishali, sister of Pragu, shares the same "blood" they are brother and sister, so she is full of talent as well!

She has fulfilled all the criteria to be a GM but the GM title is officially conferred by FIDE in their General Council meeting which is held twice in a year. She'll officially get it when it's held next.

GM-elect Vaishali Rameshbabu crossed 2500 FIDE to earn the grandmaster title at the IV El Llobregat Open in Spain on Friday. With her three GM norms previously attained, Vaishali has now fulfilled all of the requirements.

The game Tal - Vasiukov is so famous, I think it deserves a new iteration by Agad with more lines and in HD.

From what I understand: Vaishali I’m not sure has a second, but she at least has her coach Ramesh Then Nurgyul has Cheparinov as her second, I think there was another guy as well. I also understand Abasov helped her in the World Cup

If Vaishali becomes WCC before her brother Pragg achieves WC, you can bet there will be no end of teasing in *that* family.

Brilliant game by Vaishali!

Excellent development by Vaishali and one error by Salimova lead to a crushing attack. On Petroff like many other openings, black treads a fine line and here we see what happens when black missteps the careful plans of white.

Concerning the grandmaster title topic in the beginning: It is still only the women's wcc. I dont want to disrespect, but id say you should only get the gm title through the candidates If Its the Open candidates. At least that ist my opinion.
