Return of Mass Effect's dark energy plot

We all know what I'm talking about 8-) Should it return to Mass Effect?

Yo, this is a great video. Sums up when I've been thinking re: the Scourge and Dark Energy Plot + the stakes of a story like that quite well. I've absolutely felt that the "Man v Nature" conflict could be very compelling if done right; with 'human' story elements that underscore an existential threat like this to add layers/depth. I think I might add re: the Kett that they were pretty clearly (at least, imo) setting up for a wider threat from the Kett. We know the Archon was just one petty government official in a larger empire, there were some pretty clear political conflicts within them (thinking about the Cardinal, and all of the messages back and forth about the Archon and his wild goose chase in some backwater cluster), and there's some really interesting lore re: the Kett developing FTL travel that uses an Alcubierre drive instead of an eezo core mass effect drive (why? different technology? or did they have a reason to develop an FTL drive that didn't use mass effect eezo... maybe... perhaps... because there was a wider issue with a weapon that creates rampant dark energy clouds that attack and 'consume' eezo....?) The problem with MEA and the kett (and this is true for a lot of MEA's story) is that there's a lot of really cool plot points and lore that's hidden in datapads and terminals where many people won't ever see them. So much is so very easily missed. Like the fact that the remnants have eezo circuitry.

I 100% support these points and your remarks in this comment! MEAs biggest problem is beind underdeveloped, it had some great set-ups (like the Kett), Scourge, Benefactor, Cerberus-remnants, krogan/genophage status, angara, jardaan, opposition etc etc etc etc I talk about this in atleast a couple vids because this annoys me still quite a bit to this day, im only hoping ME4 will do Andromeda's story justice (retroactively😂) On Andromeda' DLC and unsolved mysteries: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e2dhxLablda1l7Q.html On the Kett and their set-up: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o6p5z9Wxd7OTd7A.html

@@DoctorEpicPhD The books were such good tie-ins, too, and there were threads in them that we never got to follow up on. I'm just happy to see a MEA-positive KZreadr talking about the next Mass Effect. A lot of the KZreadrs I've seen were really reluctant to really talk about MEA once we started seeing the MEME teasers, and I've noticed that recently most are only grudgingly including it in their theory crafting. (A few exceptions are more enthusiastic, while still not being super nice about MEA itself. Which sucks.)

MEA has it's flaws indeed, I can't deny that😂 But there is a lot of genuine cool set-ups, mysteries and plot points etc. in that game that deserve to be fleshed out and carried into the next game like you're saying! :D And you're right, it seems sadly a lot of youtubers are scared to give MEA any praise haha, i've noticed that too, which is partly why I started this channel with such a focus on MEA, even though that doesn't produce a whole lot of views😂 @@moiramcbutts
