Retro Toy: Mattel Snap Shot, 1964 Spy Cap Gun Toy. Agent Zero M. This toy is a GUN?!

Ойын-сауық

Check out this cool toy from the 1960s. This cap gun looks like a camera, but transforms into a cap gun. The toy was a part of the Agent Zero M toy line. Agent Zero M was a kid actor who was portrayed as a spy agent with cool gadgets and gizmos, as a promotional commercial series for their toyline.

I had that when I was a kid in the 60s. In fact I had the entire agent ZERO M collection, they were great fun and I wish I still had them. I also had the Johnny 7 series. Im so happy that I got to be a kid in the 60s!

I loved cap guns! Can totally see why they are frowned upon these days, but they were still pretty neat as a child.

The larger simulated portable radio similarly transformed into a small rifle. I had both.

Man I wanted one of those so bad my teeth hurt but we didn't have any money so the idea of getting one was out of the question. Dad would tell me to shut up and get to do my chores. We lived on a farm and had just moved to a house that had electricity so we had a television (used and old of course) so I could see the advertisement on Saturday Morning Cartoons. Saturday was the day I could relax my chores a bit and watch morning cartoons where these toys were advertised.

I had one of those as a kid. Caps go BANG, not pop. The good ones were loud.

Sure! Bang or pop is fine haha. Yeah I remember having the "good" caps from Walmart vs the "meh" caps from the dollar store.

eBay, yard sales, antique shops, retro-toy stores. Unfortunately this toy is like 50 years old and is decently rare.
