Hanging with family for the weekend, we broke away for a midday lunch at Retro's Good Eats in Colonial Williamsburg. A sort of 50's diner found near the heart of the city, on a short nearby street, known as Prince George Street, running parallel to the Merchants Square side of Duke of Gloucester Street.
Their exterior signage clearly reveals the roughly Top 10 popular food menu items you can find inside this restaurant in Colonial Williamsburg. Of course, we took a look at the full menu but I believe we had one thing on our minds for our lunch choice on this clear, cool winter afternoon in Williamsburg, Virginia. Yepper, Cheeseburgers & French Fries! (and Fresh squeezed lemonade.)
This place has definitely got the old 50's diner look, complete with Retro stools and signage, countertops, checkboard floors, a big chalkboard menu, root beer floats, a large variety of old fashioned milkshakes, plenty of food options...and oh yeah, a slogan that surely tells the truth, Good Eats!
If you're in town and are looking to quickly break away from Duke of Gloucester Street, you can head over to this nearby block of stores, cafes, and other interesting findings that can be found along Prince George Street in Colonial Williamsburg. This time for us, we're headed to Retro's!
