So can you give some more affordable recommendations?

Where did you get the tailgate emblems from?

Does it have safety locks?

What material is it made out of is it metal?

Bought my stx with this already installed on it. I was stoked! Can't believe how expensive they are

I'm getting one for my new ranger

I haul a gooseneck trailer and will need to make sure I can "lock" the cover into the fully open position. It doesn't appear to have that function. What do you recommend? ...or will it stay in the fully open position while driving?

I have one also. It will latch into place if properly adjusted. Though i suspect with it being latched into the same spot over the years it could wear a whole into that spot. Easily repaired though. Basically when closed it has the key lock. Once opened it can be latched anywhere along the track. It has a little clamp built into the lock mechanism.

You should re-title your review to Retrax PRO MX, this in NOT the Retrax ONE MX

2022 ram 2500 big horn. Will it fit this?

Would be helpful if it included water leakage info/review as well.

Ive had the american work truck rollback cover thats rated at 500 lbs . THey all have a water drain they use using the grommets in your bed

Mine is older.. No problem as such. Are you near salt water. Might be corrosion, need lubrication or not adjusted correctly.

Can you tell me how I can stop the squeaks? I have the same cover on my 14 Tundra. The manufacturer suggested to use parrafin wax but did not tell me how to use it

silicone spray , Dont use PB blaster. Just silicone or some sort. Are you still happy with yours?

How does it work in the winter? Snow and ice.

I have the american cover version and its all the same principle. I never really had much issue. Just make sure to clean it off after it gets hot.

How easy is this to install if you are doing yourself?

These aren't too hard to install yourself, you should be able to put it in in an afternoon.

Hardest part is lifting the canister into place.

Are you sure that is the Retrax ONE? It's looks like the PRO based upon the width of the slats..... I'm trying to decide between the two, the ONE is Polycarbonite vs the PRO made from Aluminum. Anyone have opinions on ONE vs the PRO?

Yeah I'm pretty confused here as well. It definitely looks like the PRO in this video. I'm also trying to decide between the two but this isn't helping.

@@Deadudea It's def the PRO. I sucked up the extra cost and ordered the PRO, haven't received it yet but if you reply in a couple weeks I can give you an update.

@@D_Nine_Tee that would be great! Really having a hard time finding something that actually compares the two. So far all I can really see is that the pro is heavier, so potentially less rattling. You can also really tell the difference in videos with sound when they retract.

@@Lammdawg1 Crazy but still have not received it yet, I guess we'll blame Corona. I did however see both in person and FYI I buy a couple Silverados and a couple Colorados every year for my business. All the employees at the Chevy dealership use this brand in their own trucks. They use a mix of the ONE and PRO so I got so see them both in person. Yes the PRO is better, the wider slats look better and they are definitely more sturdy. However, if I didn't see them side by side and I only saw the ONE it is awesome too. I'd have no idea that I needed something with wider slats that's potentially stronger. These guys have been using them for years and the ONE is fantastic. I stepped up and ordered the PRO b/c I might eventually turn my new Trail Boss into a work truck that goes out into the field (employees drive it) and figured I'll pay the extra few hundred bucks now and hopefully see benefits down the road. If I was driving this truck for daily use the ONE is perfect and the fact that all the dealership employees ALL have this brand installed in their own trucks was my deciding factor. Hope that helps.

These are at the upper end of the price range for tonneau covers but you're right they can be incredible and well worth the money spent!

Not waterproof at all tho. Sucks imo. Have had mine for 3 years

Same problem here.. I park on incline and my bed has a puddle. Needs design improvements.

Another negative is no pull cord, unless I missed it.

It has a pop up handle that you pull on.

This was a terrible "review." You were just sitting on ii the entire time talking instead of showing how it operates or its features...

Build quality image is diminished by the flimsy plastic friction mechanism that could be breached by a 6 year old kid (unaceptable for an item that is overpriced and has a huge profit margin).
