Lovely couple! Nowadays couples interrupt each other. They truly respect each other :-). Love the windows, the deck, and especially the lot. What a great outdoor space to spend your days.

I agree with you about many people interrupting each other too often. I also have to wonder if he has had a stroke. His slow timed speech sounds a lot like my mother's did after she had a stroke. I miss you mom.

I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated EVERY MOMENT of this video; and what a gracious, articulate and "savvy" Couple! I don't think I've ever viewed a more informative and interesting tour by a Senior couple, and that "Senior" is an important consideration for me. I'm approaching my 80th birthday and contemplating a change such as Sandy & Bill have made. Their Tiny Home is smashing! - exactly what I would have chosen - deck added and all - 'tho I didn't know that until I saw it. Thank you, Tiny Home Tours, for your wise choice of this Tiny Home to tour and to let this wonderful couple "run with the ball." Two very smart decisions - WOW! Sandy and Bill, thank you, SO MUCH, for so graciously welcoming me into your thoroughly satisfying home, and conducting a Tour that did it justice. I tried to limit my exclamation points in my Comment, but you two made that very difficult. (: (:

Many of the older couples are not necessarily doing smaller for cost reasons only, and going forward these are what I consider "cabins" or "cottages" not tiny by a mile...especially w that beautiful deck! But ideal for safety and accessibility going forward for people that need that.

Lofts are nice for storage. I have plenty of room to store seasonal decorations, and I can buy food, soap, etc in bulk which saves money and trips to the store. I could survive without it, but I am happier having Christmas lights and a small Christmas tree, pumpkin pillows, my Easter egg blanket... Things that I don't need, but bring me joy.

We live in a 36 foot RV. About eight feet wide with three slides. It’s been our home for fourteen years. I do buy in bulk at Sams Club and Costco. Storage is a challenge, but doable. Under my bed there’s a lot of space.. we are in our 70’s. My kitchen has a small pantry, but again I store pots, canned goods and dry goods under my bed and in my closet. Love my induction plate and instant-pot and residential fridge. I even have a washer and dryer and a king size bed

I went from a 4,500 multi level sq foot house to a condo under 600 sq feet. Older now it does work fine. Bigger houses do waste space. It was great exercise running up and down the stairs though. I am active and out of the condo a lot so it does become a cozy nest. I have become creative in utilizing space for storage and not holding on to things you “may use again someday.”

I'm a retired single lady and wish I could get out of my dreaded apartment and into a tiny home of my own. I just want to live a simple life in my final years, but rent keeps going up and I can't even save a dime and is very frustrating.

i totally understand. its important to focus on buying something you will own one day while youre young. even if you have to go in debt. i waited until my 40s to take that plunge. im so glad i did that! i wish i would have bought a house sooner in life.

There are many small towns giving away City lots. Start looking for one. Find a few you like and see which ones would accept a park model like this. Used can be had for around twenty thousand. There is a company in Florida making affordable tinys for 28 thousand. Anyone can do this with flexibility and ingenuity. Forget the fancy trendy tinys.

Tiny homes will be awesome in Indonesia, cause we don't need heater! (We do need AC though) but it will also makes our clothes less than people who live in 4 season country. Small problem though, minimalism is not a known concept, and people always live with big families.

I think we should look at square foot per person. A big family and extended family will need a bigger house, but living together can be batter for the environment.

@@secondact7151 yes, big families is good, but literally no one knows about minimalism here, and I've been to a lot of houses, and the layout was very insufficient, there are many wasted spaces. One of the thing I adore about tiny houses is the no waste space layout, and I think it should be implemented more in my country.

Syarifa Fatimah - depending on the family, multiple units near each other, with a central gathering deck or patio, could be lovely! Or just a “not so big” house might be better than “tiny!”
