Rethinking Humanity

Ғылым және технология

Introduction to Rethinking Humanity, a book authored by James Arbib and Tony Seba (co-founders of RethinkX) that is available for free download from www.rethinkx.com.
During the 2020s, key technologies will converge to completely disrupt the five foundational sectors that underpin the global economy, and with them every major industry in the world today. In information, energy, food, transportation, and materials, costs will fall by 10x or more, while production processes an order of magnitude more efficient will use 90% fewer natural resources with 10x-100x less waste.
The knock-on effects for society will be as profound as the extraordinary possibilities that emerge. For the first time in history, we could overcome poverty easily. Access to all our basic needs could become a fundamental human right. But this is just one future outcome. The alternative could see our civilization collapse into a new dark age. Which path we take depends on the choices we make, starting today. The stakes could not be higher.

I just bought yesterday Rethinking Humanity at amazon Kindle (in less than one minute I was reading your book, impressive), but these days audio books like Audible are the present and future of books. Please make your book available at audible. Thank you. Great book and deep philosophical pillars.

That is understandable skepticism, and I share it to a degree. However, when resource extraction and climate displacement is removed from the system, traditional sources of conflict diminish.

There is somethin of an example of this in history. A time when books were the #1 trade of the world as opposed to the open debate today of whether its Drugs, Weapons or Human Trafficking. If history were a 100 page book, we are on page 99. A lot is buried and white washed but thank God the page is being turned. The closer we get to the next Century the more radically different the world is goin to be.

Almost all wars are for the control of resources for profits. And we already have the ability today to manipulate matter efficiently at the atomic scale. There are 6 different groups that I know of today working on Nano-replication already.

Bunch of hyperbolic language and imagery, a word salad People who think "the past was a horror show and this time is different" are deluded about the past and the future. Yes we can build things at a fraction of the cost, but not with a fraction of the resources We will just be using different sets of resources, that are theoretically less harmful. This video was shallow, meaningless drivel, pitched to the lowest thinkers

Large companies want to own, extract and sell. No interest other than shareholders and bottom line. Can’t tax or wage war on the Sun. So their power is being slowly undermined. Pun intended!
