Right on, So-Han. Thanks for telling it like it is. Same thing is happening to two beloved cities of mine, Asheville, NC and Athens, GA. Same heartless process of self-aggrandizing vulgar capitalism. Came here to say this too - the same thing happened to Asheville 😔 Bunch of newspapers and magazines came out with articles on how it's a quirky close-knit mountain community, and within 10 years all the hipsters and yuppies came in and drove up the price of housing and pushed all the hippies out. Now it's just a tourist trap, and a ghost of what it once was. R.I.P. Asheville, NC

I just recently discovered you and your business through youtube, and hoped I might be able to visit as I might have the opportunity to go to Austin on a business trip at some point. I loved the history of how you started and your approach. So sad to hear that you and a whole neighborhood might get evicted for making place to a few more lanes of asphalt. As a transportation planner myself, I can totally second your statement that increasing road capacity does not solve traffic congestion in the long term, quite the opposite. But big freeways cut the city and make it die. I sincerely hope this project gets abandoned. A lot of love and support from Germany.

Big fan of West China Tea. Sacrificing small-scale businesses like West China Tea just to expand Interstate 35 is just not the right way to do it. Austin has some explaining to do. Cheers from Japan.
