This is a wonderful and super informative video! I've been working for a few years but I still struggle to figure out what I can improve upon in my CV to get that interview that I really want. Also, one thing I would like to add is please don't exceed the resume to 2 pages, especially if you're a fresher. Just keep it short and sweet. And, don't use Paragraphs anywhere in your resume, it makes the recruiter's eyes glaze over your resume. Make bullet points for your resume. P.S. I'll be very grateful if Ankur Sir, could help me with my resume.😄🙏

Hi Ankur sir, Thank you for addressing the key points we need to look at while building our resume. I would need your guidance in understanding how to deal with the notice period discussions with the HR. In my experience so far, every HR pushes for an early joining date which essentially is not possible and to my amusement they themselves have a similar notice period. Also, would like to know how to deal with 3 months notice period when planning to switch?. Thanks in advance. -Your new subscriber

One more small incident i would like to share based on one particular interview experience: I mentioned in my resume that i am good at UI/UX design and i have worked in figma platform, although i got selected ,the co founder then gave me a small feedback that HIT ME REALLY HARD. She told me that if you are good at UI/UX then why is your resume so BASIC ,u could have used resume as an opportunity to give the first best impression on your designing skills, u could have built everything from scratch and made it stand out. MORAL OF THE STORY: If you are seeking design role THEN designing your own unique resume is THE WINNING BET.

@@srayanjacobs6530 If you are planning to satrt as UI/UX designer (forgive my ignorance , for all i assume u could actually be a pro) but anyway : u need a resume (for name sake) and a very godamm good portfolio (for the real battle) with minimum 3 projects (5 is the golden number ) Be good at these softwares : 1) FIGMA or Adobe XD or SKETCH 2) Adobe ILLUSTRATOR and PHOTOSHOP 3) WIREFRAMING , PROTOTYPING(low Fidelity and High Fidelity) and MOCKUPS bonus points (great to have but not necessary : Basics of HTML and CSS ,. gud luck

Ankur - what's your take on ATS compliant resume. If a recruiter is using ATS for the first screening, a creative resume might not cross the first hurdle though I agree if a human is behind the screening (s)he is more likely to pay more attention to 'non-template' resume!

Adding one more extra point to the one Ankur Sir said, I personally think, there should not be your image on Resumes. I have seen many people doing that. Unless it's an acting job, I don't think picture is required. Saying all that I hope I get a chance to have a call. Finger crossed

I won't agree may be putting a good professional picture can help. Imagine your skill slightly not matching with the requested job description but putting a good professional picture might make the recruiter think that the applicants looks smart and can adapt and learn the missing skillset quickly. Not good for a idea recruiter but human brain works like that

Hey Ankur, I've been watching your videos for a long time and they've helped me gain perspective towards a lot of things in life I never paid attention to before. I am a Computer Science 2020 graduate. I've been applying to every relevant role for freshers that I come across but I struggle to even get my resume shortlisted. I've only interviewed for two startups so far in the past 6 months. It's disheartening but I'm still trying my best. I've asked my friends to review it, modified it multiple times and now I'm out of ideas on how to make it work. It would be awesome if you could view mine :)
