Man it was neat to see this car again. The original build with the motorhome engine was one of my favorite episodes back when Roadkill was still on KZread. I miss those days.

Agreed. I used to love Roadkill but gave it up. Turned started to feel like all the staged car shows that drove me nuts. I mean I get it you gotta make money. Sad to see what happened to the General though. I bet the Rotsun is even worse, if they haven't crushed it yet. Also... that "frame jig" is perfect for the car. lol.

Glad to see it`s you giving Mayhem the love. My favorite Roadkill car going back to it`s roots. Hard to believe Diversified Creations butchered it so bad, But Dave bought it back and sent it to YOU! Soon General Mayhem will be back to version 1.0 and thrashing that rebuilt 440. Awesome!

@@chappeah from what the guys have said you're pretty correct. To clarify when I say it never saw the light of day I'm referring to the race and the build never being on youtube (where a bulk of the fanbase resides due to being unable to travel to attend roadkill nights). It always felt like a waste frankly
Thank god for people like you who know what y’all doing
Actually amazed that the whole time it had the rear glass but they were just rolled down. Freiburger said multiple times he didn't want to have to hunt out the glass and trim for the car but it was already there to a degree lmao
I always wondered what happened to this thing. The day Chrysler started sponsoring Roadkill, I knew it was coming to an end. When Mayhem was gutted, stuffed with 20 Grand worth of parts and turned into a showqueen - man, it was over. Wonder if Freiburger ever got the title for it? As I recall, he traded a set of heads for a gutted shell minus paperwork.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 the level of ignorance in this comment alone!!! Show Queen? They stuffed the gas tank in the trunk and used RATCHET STRAPS. They hacked the tailpanel for the stupid tailights. 🤣🤣🤣. Are you blind and having some one describe the show to you?? 🤔🤔. That would be the best explanation….

Love watching your vids! Your builds are great! A man with structural integrity! Sorry about the loss of your doggie Chris.
So thankful they gave Mayhem to you to restore. Those guys are spread so thin it wouldn’t have gotten the attention it deserves.
That "notch" ( hole) in the passenger fender rail is where they had the underhood fuse panel, with the coolant tanks for the engine and the super charger behind it. Just double checked photos I took at ziptie drags a few years back.

To be working on such a legendary piece of junk. What an honour. They picked the right man to finally do the job properly
I remember the episode where they showed the hellcat swap finished, and the shop that made it. I bet they thought the car won't live long anyway and that's why it was put together like this. Or they had some insane time limit to begin with. Great to see it coming back!

I'm imagining it was some insane time limit. Not that we can watch the episode anymore on youtube. I mean Chris is apparently only getting 30 days for a restoration on the thing. Watching the Roadkill video brought up one of your videos about a road trip to get a Charger, so I watched the video, saw you are a Charger guy, and since I only like Chargers, I have been a fan ever since.
I'm a mechanic but I never claim to be a bodyman, and this video illustrates perfectly why. I remember them saying that this car was kind of butchered for the Hellcat conversion but they never went into the details. This is the details and yes, that car was butchered. If they would have kept running it the way it was it would have twisted itself into a pretzel!
