I'm jealous of your soldering, it's very neat and precise, my hands have tremors so I can't do super fine repair work like trace repairs or SMD work, but I can do simple through hole stuff.

Tantalums are the worst for being dramatic

Dontcha just love tantalum caps...
i think its recommended to replace the tantalum caps too they short and take out chips (old ones do)

I would do the across the line filters too and if you ever see sony bond thats gotta go. mg chem makes a remover solvent i think
