Restoring a 1963 Holden EH Ute Part 1
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
At Pro Shop it's all about building dreams. In this project Pete takes on the challenge of keeping the 60 year old patina of this Holden ute and preserving its aesthetic for years to come. Part 1 of this build showcases the strip-down and clean plus removal and fabrication of the floor, tunnel and new chassis.
Thanks to my beautiful partner Anika for the video edit.

Good to see your keeping that Holden looking like it would have a few months after it rolled off the production line..
Wow what a result 😊

Thankyou, I have an old EJ in my garage that I intend to get back on the road. I have never done a rebuild and videos like this are good help.

Glad to help. If you want a more detailed part of any of the build let me know.
Wow!
I like how your keeping the patina on this build. EH has to show its age somewhere. It's unique in its own way, showing its own character. Looks bad ass rising up from the dead. Look forward to part 2. Luv the EHS 👍😃

Thanks John. I’m so pleased how this car has turned out. It’s just come back from the painters now with a satin clear coat on it and it looks amazing. Really locks in that patina. You’ll see that in the final fit-up video soon.
Part two sounds good should look toot sweet
Nice work Man

OK curious once actual rust holes etc. fixed. You going matt clear coat? Will have to wait for future instalments I spose.
@ProShop1
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s been painted in matt clear. New video is coming soon. Just waiting for the new wheels to arrive.
Great job, but I have a question. So the new fabricated chassis is welded to the body? Any thoughts of bolting it to the body instead?
@ProShop1
2 жыл бұрын
It's a lot easier for engineering if it is welded in just like the original monocoque design.
How the hell did that Ute get so rusted and corroded? I know it doesn't snow in Australia, and no road salt is ever used down there.
@ProShop1
Жыл бұрын
It was probably just left outside all of its life and I'm pretty sure it was in a dam at some point.
EJ?...?rust never sleeps specially where I live
@ProShop1

I get that a lot but it’s definitely an EH.
You sure this is EH? Think it might be EJ.
@ProShop1
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah a lot of people get confused because of the taillights. They are the same on utes and wagons on both models. If you notice EJ’s have a different grill to this one.

Its neither, completely modified.
good to watch but why on earth is the darn music so bloody loud

Sorry Shane it was one of our first videos and we were still figuring out the editing process. Thanks for the feedback.
not into all this "patina"-"bettina" thing....i reckon would look great with an original paint job...too many people following "fast and loud" etc
Man your music is over the top compared to your voice

It would be a crime to paint over this patina !

I know. We did put a satin clear over it to protect it though.
