These mild but wild cars are where it’s at! The priceless, enclosed trailer, never driven, show cars are great, but this type of ride is perfect and pretty attainable for most.

I don't know what '70 Camaros are going for where you live, but one in cherry condition, like this one, are =not= cheap. I had one, a Z/28, in fact, back in the day, but... as a personal, second car... I don't think I'll ever own one again.

@@christophernoto I was speaking of the build level and not being all out custom and intricate. Pretty much any old car in this condition is an arm and a leg these days, also getting harder to find in fields too…

Beautiful car. Also your profile picture is actually super cool. Isn't obvious what it is, but it's a cool combination of shapes and once you know what it's from, it's perfect. Just thought that was interesting

@@trashbandit2449 Thanks! I love it when people figure out what it is!
I owned a 1970 & 1/2, Z28. When the hood came open at the 2:44 mark, I almost dropped a tear or two! That is exactly what my engine bay looked like. I spent so much time under that hood, that I can still feel the fenders on my beltline. I sold her in order to start a new family when I was still a private in the Army. Miss that ol girl!!!

Yeah, they definitely swapped in those classic cast valve covers from the Z/28. I'm like you, bought a '70-1/2 Z/28 off the showroom floor for $4,000. Didn't get to keep it long, though, just about 15 months. Some very sweet memories, though.
That color is fantastic. What a deep car. It doesn't try to be more than it has to be, and still comes out more than the sum of it parts....

@@AutotopiaLA how were you thinking? I was looking at it, thinking, light warming over. bumpstick, nicer intake manifold + efi. I don't even think it needs much more power, maybe just lighter flywheel/intake

The the baddest car on the entire show. That is exactly how I want to restore my Corvette. He really preserved the soul of the car.
A friend of mine had a 72' back in the late 70s with a 350. He had his engine rebuilt with a hot street setup. That 350 screamed. I had a 69 383 Road Runner at the time I never raced but could tell he could blow me away in a 1/4 mile and my Road runner pulled pretty good even though it burned rubber through most of 1st gear. Also mine had a rear end of just 3:23. I think he was running something like 4:10 gears.
Such a clean cruiser! Even though i have an LS swap, it makes me happy to see these dudes keeping it original like this.
Second generation Camaros and Firebirds are my favorites of all time. Simply timeless styling
My 77 camaro is "Camaro Gold" just like this one, and I wasn't sure if I was a gold guy when I bought mine. But, I love it! Awesome car!

Great color!!
I like how the owner is honest on the power.
This car is sweet! Love how he kept it original for the most part but did subtle upgrades to embellish the ride.
My first car was a 701/2 SS 350 in this Camaro gold…(I’m an old guy) Great restoration, boy, wish I still had it!
My Uncle Craig ... God Rest his soul he's on the other side he bought a 73 split bumper rally Sport Camaro 350 4-speed and he owned that 73 Camaro since 1975! Some of my best memories are being a kid and cruising with my Uncle Craig in His 73 Camaro somewhere and Van Halen Running With the devil would be playing on the radio and Uncle Craig would be just calmly tooling around town and he was a long hair hippie it was so much fun!!!! My Uncle Craig was very happy when he found out later in life that I was into hot rods and I was working at a machine shop! He talked with me about building a 350 that could light the tires up and when you'd fire the car up in the garage he wanted it to shake the pictures on the walls of the house! Lol he was mad at my Aunt for sitting on Home shopping Network and spending all his money so he gave me an open checkbook and said little rip son and boy did I ever! I never thought I'd run across another Camaro that sounded identical to his. And I use the Edelbrock Performer RPM package on his 350 4 bolt main motor with a set of TRW forged slugs! Factory Steal Crank! Eagle I beam rods! Upgraded the ignition system to MSD 6A ..... There wasn't no such thing as an MSD 6al yet! Southside machine lift bars! We never did make it a posi or change it from the 331 gears I was too worried about my uncle getting her a little two Sideways .... Lol it didn't need posi you dump that clutch and it would light both tires up really easy! I did put a center Force clutch in it! And they weren't no skinny tires we did some aftermarket center line billet Wheels some 17/8 and 17/9 Front tires were 245/50/17.... Rear Tires were 275/50/17! Back when Flowmasters just became popular I put a set of two chamber Flowmaster mufflers dumping behind the rear tires! But no joke when that Camaro fired up that you're displaying here it sounds identical to Uncle Craig's Camaro! Rip Uncle Craig!!!!!!!

Straightforward and clean. Luv 2nd gens - takes me back to better days.
Original...non-LS...refreshing. Really cool ride. Sounds nice and healthy.
The RS front end is so clean. I also love the small '70 rear spoiler and the gold color is great for that era.
Nice build. That guy was so chill.
The sound of flowmasters 😍
My '70 is also a simple build with a GENI SBC. It has great suspension and brakes which makes it a car you could drive every day. The gold looks so right on this body style. She's a beaut Clark!
Really great mix of old and new. Just another really cool build. Glad to see it.
That was exactly the make and model of how my car looked in high school down to the color and stripes.. I've never had so much fun!!
AutotopiaLA...the BEST show on the tube. As a freshman in high school I sometimes caught a ride home with a senior named Scott who had a white on blue SS. I am 54 now and have no idea what hp it had it at that time it was the car that TOLD ME...YOU NEED A CAR LIKE THIS! Hate to break it to you all but by this time I wanted an AC Cobra. Is a Ford fan I became. When I was a junior I rolled up at school in a 78 Cobra 2 Charlie's angel's car. I had wished Scott was there to see it But was glad he didn't drive it.😁
That guy in the S2000 was a real chad for being decent enough to not diss Brian's car.
My mom had a 1970 Camaro in gold. I remember her driving it off the lot and my brother saying, “Don’t get the tires dirty!” Ha! We immediately drove to the beach. Fun times.
One beauty right there
Very nice, I love that he left the original motor in it. Sounds awesome!

It isn't always about the burnout, very nice car.
Wow, this car works so well- everything that's been done, the wheels, the stance, the original paint scheme- what a complete package. I had the same 300 hp/ 350, autumn gold paint on my 1970 Monte Carlo. Had that car for 20 years, should have kept it.
i like a 70 camaro way more than any first gens.
Personally, the split bumper is my favorite camaro. Exceptional car.
Dude! I have not even watched the video yet. I only viewed the first five seconds of the clip and I'm already in love with the car.
Hands down fav gen Camaro this one

Same for me all the way!
Beautiful car. My old man had a split bumper 70, it was a loud green color. He also had a 55 Bel-Air. That color on his camaro is awesome. So period correct and perfect.
Berry, Berry nyce '70!!! These cars are timeless! Still gorgeous after all these years! She reminds me of my first car back in the 80s, a '73 Type LT Camaro in dark brown.
Sweet ride. I dig the music as well.
Sounds great
That Colour Combo Just Works / Goes on this Car ! 👍
Now this one is a keeper for me! Very well done. Love that it’s manual.
Super nice car. Glad he kept this one mostly original.
Love it. The best generation of Camaros. Well up until 73 at least.
This f-er raised the hair on my forearm. Holy crap. Brian, this is a masterpiece and I love the color, too.

that how you restore an old 70' Chevy Camaro , beautiful done
I love what you've done to my most loved car. Thankyou for not messing up its originality. People thats how to appreciate a car for real. Not destroying its original Flava!
Beautiful and lovely build.
I agree about the early gen 2's. Beautiful body style.
It really looks fantastic! It was originally built/optioned by someone in the know & the restoration was respectful as well.
Very beautiful 70 Camaro brother. My mom had a 79 Camaro 6 Cylinder as her first car and man she loved it.
A complete MONSTER! 💪🏽
You know me Shawn. Got to love these cars
I'm glad to see the old cars with modern components. Style meets technology.
Beautiful, sane car without a roll cage, usable as a family car. 👍
This is the car we all wanted to have in the 1980s. Clean, fast and puts a smile on your face.
Original 70 split bumper. $$. Cool cruiser. Not chopped up. Nice. Very rare.🤩🥰😍😛
This reminds me of my 2nd gen. I had a 1972 RS Z28 Clone with a 383 4 speed and a MSD Atomic EFI system. Spin tech exhaust 3 inch. Boy did that camaro move! That was only a few yrs ago and I was the only 21 year old driving one in my neck of the woods. Everything I drive is carburetor to early 90s. Love the old-school feel.
Love how its simple nice mix of old and new tech and that paint job excellent work love it
One dam sweet ride
beautiful...Not 'over-powered'...Awesome Exhaust 'Music'!....Something You won't 'Get yourself' in 'Trouble With'! Respect for Not 'Over Doing Her'!...Cheers from Canada.
I’ve always loved those 70s colors that no one liked back then, keeps the car period looking. Yet when you modify the car it doesn’t take away fro the looks as much, beautiful car!
sounds great and looks even better

Great great build but I’m still 67-69 fan😍
if it was mine, I would change 2 things - i'd add a G/V over/under drive and switch the wheels to Year One 17" or 18" GM 5-spoke rally (similar to what came on the car). the wheels would just enhance the stock look... the sound is perfect
I think it looks awesome. The color really makes it pop
Right here, the best year, best example of 2nd gen Camaro, Bella!
I love this Camaro! I own a ‘70 RS, and although not as nice as Brian’s, his is perfect. I wouldn’t have put the vinyl top back on, either. Thanks for sharing!👍🏻

Nice ride....I have a 71.....and I'm headed to the same destination
Damn that's a badass car, especially for being Standard!
Good little mix..I like it..Good Job!
Such beautiful sounds...
69 was ok, but 70-73 is my Favorite, and 77-80 I also like. Great video
You don't have to go "Fast" to enjoy. Every Mile is a Smile.
Beast 😎
2nd gen will always be my favorite Camaro.
That is one bad ass Camaro. Nicely done. Shawn, you are having too much fun. 👍
Loved it. I had a base model 72 Camaro... really base... inline 6 and 3 speed. It lacked a bunch(!) of straight-line speed, but I surprised quite a few people on the curvy roads with proper gas shocks and radials (this was when radials first were getting popular).... mid 70s.

Awesome original car congrats for keeping this beauty true to its roots love it
Very nice. Love the old split bumper
Just a super clean 70 Camaro with a great stance. Really nice simple build, wheels look awesome with the stance also
I love your videos man. Big fan from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺
That thing is just perfect! Original with some modern amenities, that only make sense too.
Nice Camaro, like that its mostly stock. Had a 71 Firebird 350 way back when, very similar in color. Wasn’t keen on the color either at first but grew on me and got plenty of thumbs up from the ladies😊
Nothing like an old school car😎
Like you guys said, gold goes great with that car, love the ss stripes too. Beautiful car!
Great looking gen 2 love that color. Yeah it's a time capsule I remember riding in them back in the day. When I drive my foxbody it takes me back to those days. Great video
That's sleek and stylishly with a great note to it. In Australia Ford called that colour Tropic Gold. 😎👍

Love it!
Absolutely beautiful car man!! I love that color!!!! And boy oh boy does that thing sound great!!!!!
Good they kept old skool engine. Refreshing from typical ls swap.
This is my favorite 2nd Gen because it's a build most of us could afford.
While I'm not keen on low pro tires on classics, but this works...just right...
