That was completely unsalvageable on the chassis and motherboard side, from the get go. Maybe a few bits around the charging port and the cameras could have been reused, but by the time he pried open the first camera, it was obvious that they were internally damaged, as well, and he would basically be replacing everything. (The camera modules on the P30 cost quite a bit) Might as well get another secondhand phone at that point rather than swapping compromised parts into another phone.

@@APhkinPanda I think that was just the battery, which is easy to replace. The motherboard however, was in an impossible state, broken components everywhere and split in half. It can't just be re-attached and broken parts replaced because the printed circuits that are multi layered were broken when the board broke, so the only way to repair this is to get a new motherboard ( it might be more expensive than the whole phone depending on the model, idk for this exact one).
