Way to stick with the challenge so far! Today's self-reflection question is: Did it feel easier to inhale or exhale while practicing the pose, and why do you think that is?

Heart openers generally tend to fascilitate the inhale.

Depending on the person and what's going on, yes. Great observation.
The exhale is so wonderful in restorative yoga! It is the letting go of everything and just being.

100% agree. Letting go of physical and mental holding to invite in well-being. Thanks for practicing, Sarah. Have you enjoyed the challenge so far?
Thank you again. I'm going to be sad when this challenge comes to an end. Hopefully I can keep it going in some form on my own. The way you guided the entrance into supported bridge is one I hadn't seen before and I really liked trying it out. Tonight, for me, the inhales were much more challenging to make smooth and even and full. But after the practice my inhales felt easier. Thank you for the opportunity to have this unique reflection and experience.
Breathing in, so many people have bopped my elbow and said," Breathe Barbara, Breathe! Direct correlation to, 'so called life'. Inverted poses seem more beneficial for me, for where I'm at, Yes, needs to be balance.. not there. I do appreciate you sharing this pose, Thank you.
Thank you 🙏
Exhale deeply is so wonderful, and great for digestion as well
Your videos are really the best ! 💕

Thanks, Claire! Glad you enjoyed this one. 🙏🏻
My out breath feels more natural. I tend to emphasize my inhale too much and struggle with my exhale. This pose also felt very grounding for my mind. 😌
It was definitely easier to breathe in. When I tried to make it to the count of 8 on the exhale...it seemed like I was pushing air out at the last 2 or 3 counts. Like there wasn’t enough breath left to get any out, tried counting faster and then it just seemed like i was hurrying. At the end of the pose, my back twinged just a smidge as I was lifting up to remove the bolster. Thank you for this challenge. It is short enough to do before work and long enough to feel like a bit of calm has entered my day prior to starting work. Wish it was a 30 day challenge:)
I'm a bit congested so the breathing was slightly challenging, but I lived. Thanks, Namaste and happy holidays Caren!

Oh bummer! It's generally advised not to practice yoga breathing or inversions if you're sick/congested because we want the energy to flow out and down instead of up and in. Happy holidays! 🙏🏻
I love the 1:2 breath ratio. Just making sure I exhale long enough is something I concentrate on. I felt deeply relaxed after this pose, although my K9 bothered me throughout to feed him dinner early, so probably not the best time to practice restorative yoga ;)
luv ya
My breathing is freer after the pose, and my neck and shoulders are less tight. It was also good for my digestion.
I found first few exhales difficult but once my body calmed down it got easy and I was able to count to 8. I think this was caused by being tired and becoming stressed prior to the session. The in and out breaths after the pose are calmer and longer. Once again thank for for this wonderful challenge and finding out about restorative yoga.

Noticing and controlling our breath can be difficult at first when we’re not used to it. Great observations about it!
It was not easy to arrive at 8 with the exhale, perhaps it's more difficult for me to let go easily.. I will do this pose more often and feel what happens..thank you so much Caren
My husband often tells me that it sounds like i am holding my breath. Focusing on long exhales is good practice.

It can help, yes! It’s common to hold our breath without knowing. You’re not alone in that. ❤️
