That's not a meat cleaver. It's a French styled ice cleaver. Between the welding and grinding you softened the metal because you weren't cooling it as you worked. Then you didn't retemper the steel correctly. The blade was also bent, which when hot you could have fixed. You also messed up the bevel, it's angled that way for a reason, so the cut product rolls off the blade. Bluing isn't food safe, so this blade can never be used again for anything ANYONE WILL EVER EAT. You ruined it. So many mistakes, such a poorly thought out job and not any research on how to do it correctly. The saddest thing is over 3 thousand people think you did a good job instead of potentially poisoning people. SMH...

@@mandyko LMAO No, just no. You show how little you understand metal and knives. Almost as little as he does. That is a real knife kid and it was a good one until he ruined it, and good knives aren't cheap. I've have sushimi knives that cost thousands. You might want to stop humiliating yourself.
What were those big blobs of metal even doing there in the first place?
It's curious shape. What is the purpose of teeth on top?
great work but i doubt that cleaver got quenched like that :/
