Greetings Friends! This was my most difficult project of all time, taking up a lot of my time and effort. This is the longest video on the channel ever. I wanted to show in this video as much as possible all the details and tricks that I did while building this legendary Ferrari F40. I hope you enjoy watching and the end result. Nice colors with the Tamiya clear colors on the exhausts ,the carbon fibre decals and the photo etch parts !

I was expecting a certain amount of detail, just like any other restoration, but man, that was another level of detail! It is truly the most detailed restoration of a model car I've seen! So congratulations! It really looks amazing 😍

Man the level of detail on this is sublime. You must have had a lot of patience putting all those tiny details together. Done a hell of a job with that though. Looks very realistic.

Awesome build! Inspirational! For the F40 enthusiasts out there, the pre-production F40s did have 5 slots in the rear fenders. When they reached the production model, they went instead with 4 slots, so technically, the original model was not inaccurate.

It's a perfect restoration, the details are incredible! 😉

Ésta fue, definitivamente, una fantástica restauración! Y se nota que costó bastante esfuerzo. El modelo es una Ferrari F-40 en escala 1.18 de la marca Bburago. Lo menciono porque tengo uno igual en color rojo, que adquirí en 1997, en muy buenas condiciones. Éstos modelos hace ya muchos años que la empresa los dejó de fabricar. Así que me dió mucha alegría ver cómo lo volviste a restaurar; incluso, mejorando el modelo original con nuevas piezas y detalles adicionales! ¡Excelente video, y felicitaciones!

I just pulled out my 1/12 Model F40 that I never finished. It’s actually 32 years old. I didn’t know much about painting back then, now I do a lot of custom figures and dio’s. I was planning on taking apart what I could and paint/ airbrush everything. I was thinking to myself… how can I make the seats look not so plastic and wondering how to give the seats a textured feel. Now I know, and that carbon fiber trick, oh that is awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely brilliant. I undertook a similar detail on a 1/18th Burago F40 totally dismantling it and painting all existing components but it was in no way as detailed as this with etched metal parts, replacing all pipe work and carbon fibre detailing. You have given me some great ideas and inspiration thank you. I assume you clear coated the body on top of the red paintwork. One thing I usually do is to lightly sand the tyre treads to give a used look. Once again brilliant. Will subscribe.

Oh my word!!! When I saw the photoetched parts I said "oh my... Good restore is geting realy, realy serious this time" and yes, what an amazing, marvelous restoration, this is perfection. You are a true modeler. There are many modelers whom they don't build a model if the model is not from Tamiya (I'm talking about plastic models) cause many brands have moulding errors and sometimes pieces don't fit into where they are suposed to fit so, modeler has to sand or cut or modified/fix the piece so it fit properly or make pieces from scratch and they just say "oh no, I don't build that brand cause sometimes pieces just don't fit into place, I build Tamiya only" and you, You are doing things from scratch and WITH DIE CAST METAL, like opening vents on the body oh and paintwork oh my, it's just outstanding 😊. You are now Master restore instead of Good. I'm gonna upload some Bburago's Diablo videos about what I've been doing and modifiying to it. Once again, what a master piece you've done 😊😊 with this Bburago's F40, I think it's better than the Kyosho's F40 high end model.

Awesome! I still have that exact same F40 scale model since i was young. It only has a small paint chip on the hood and i lost the spoiler, because somehow i thought it looked cooler when i was young. 😎

This is absolutely amazing. The detail is off the hook. I did notice one detail that is missing tho, the passenger side of the rear wing is supposed to have the F40 logo.

There should be an embossing on one side of the wing, but it was not made in the metal by the manufacturer, but I didn’t want to just stick a sticker with the F40 logo
