Naughty, don’t grind on the side of the wheel. Not bad at all. You keep improving with each video.

I know they are not cheap, but a small sandblester sure would do the trick for you, well done sir, I have seen several of these restored and I gotta say the hammer finish paint looks the best.

I still have the bench grinder my great grandfather pulled out of an old tractor factory back in the 50s. It dated back to WWII when the factory built equipment for the war. It has roller bearings that can be greased. It still works great. I made an adapter so it can run all sorts of hand built machines

Yo, No gloves around rotating machinery! Loose the gloves or loose a finger, ESPECIALLY around that wire wheel. - And don't believe the BS abut the "ripaway" gloves. The only thing they are good about ripping away is the skin on your hand. - It's better to have a couple stitches in your thumb, then to have no thumb to get stitches in. Other then that outstanding work. - The guy that called you about plughing it in is off base. - How you going to know if it works? You were in zero point no danger there. - Personally, I would have stuck an ohm meter on the windings, but that is because I'm lazy and would want to know it was going to work before I got too far into it. Once again, damn good work. - Just watch the gloves (And I highly recommend glasses, but that is up to you. )

This bench grinder is from the 1960's... just look at the date on the motor capacitor - it says 1967 at 8:07 in this video...

Så bra! Detta kan man inte kalla för "Slit och släng" 👍👍👍
Wow! The video shows a negative test for connecting the grinder to the electrical network. A moment later after disassembly, the burnt stator winding can be seen. But it was enough to disassemble the sander, remove the rust and apply a new coating. But to our credit, the overhaul also included the use of a power cord with a protective conductor and grounding the frame of the grinder.
Pretty good for not having a blast cabinet!

Very nice restoration. Good work. But...never use the side of the grinding wheel. It can explode on you! Always just use the front of the wheel. That's what is is designed for.

@@hbrestoration Bro, I accidentally came across your video with the Makita perforator, I decided to watch a newer video: at 19:30 you can see rusty insides, it's a little sad; buy yourself a couple of clamps, we have such a phrase: "a well-fixed patient does not need anesthesia"; it would be nice to try to make a homemade press based on a jack and an iron profile, it will help you, you can buy an inexpensive set of press kit; you have grown a lot in terms of restoration over these six months, you will succeed. "there is no limit to perfection", good luck to you in everything 😊❤

I'm guilty of using gasoline to degrease and clean with. But do be careful, gasoline has such a low evaporation point, that it doesn't take long for the fumes to spread out. I had to use gasoline to start a fire in a grill that someone melted plastic over. I didn't have anything else. And was shocked to see how far the fumes had spread when I lit it up.

You do not need those black gloves. Ruins the video
Rust left in most holes - rust left in the bottom - no primer used - banging with a steel hammer on new paint - the electric motor was never disassembled and properly restored - shady electrical wiring - no research to find a new type/serial no plate...
