What's so odd about hooking up a capacitor to a three phase motor? This setup is called "Steinmetz" and is commonly used across the globe. In some areas of the world such motors are used as rotary three phase converters where one only has single phase AC but need three phase to power certain machines.

here in Britain put a motor in water instant rust if I put a electric motor on step outside my back door apart from it being nicked and why the crap tools a brush instead of a cloth and a pair of long nose pliers ha ha
