On my trip to find stuff to restore at the local second-hand market, I saw this white Fat PS4 in this bad condition, I decided to restore it and give it a new chance to live again.
I was looking for a white Fat PlayStation 4 console, but it was somewhat rare, and when I saw this, I was very happy to finally own a white console.
I bought it for $75, it works as the seller says but needs cleaning. The seller told me that his son spilled Coke into the Console.

This video will show you how to make your yellowed PS4 look almost new again.
Coat the plastic in hydrogen peroxide to fix discoloration. Hydrogen peroxide works well on plastics that have turned entirely yellow instead of in just one spot. Fill a plastic bag with enough hydrogen peroxide to cover the plastic. Stick the plastic in the bag of hydrogen peroxide and lay it out in direct sunlight. Wait 3-4 hours before rinsing it off with clean water.[5]
You can purchase hydrogen peroxide at a drugstore or big box store.
If you’re treating some sort of plastic mechanism, make sure you remove all the parts that aren’t plastic before putting them into the hydrogen peroxide.
You can also use an old toothbrush to scrub the hydrogen peroxide onto the plastic if desired

I take apart all my consoles and pc's every 6 months and clean everything and new thermal paste and I am always amazed at how much dirt still gets in, can't imagine people that never do it, can't see spending the money and let dirt kill it.

The seller preferred to sell it at a reduced price rather than lose everything, so he did not try it again or even connect it to electricity at all.

Since i got my first playstation 4 in 2020 i was extremely impressed and i had been pacifically using xbox consoles since 2004. I got the PS4 PRO and have been watching unboxing videos and repair videos for the PS4. Im watching this video on the PS4 web browser. I got the PS5 and it has so many missing features that came standard on the PS4.

One does wonder how people actually manage to get their consoles THIS freakin dirty. Sure, some dust is to be expected, but the levels of grime, sand and dust in some I've seen is just flabbergasting.. Makes one wonder how the people live 😶

The dust looks like sand. I'm guessing this might be a fake restoration video. He must've put sand all over the place. When he takes off the Blu ray drive you see it's perfectly clean under there. Which might mean he didn't pour sand well enough.

If it's the chemical you're asking about, it's hydrogen peroxide. However, I do not recommend the creamy form. Its 20% liquid is a better option. But you have to be careful when using it because it damages the skin a little. Be sure to use gloves

The chemical used is hydrogen peroxide. I don't recommend the cream form because it doesn't whiten surfaces evenly. Its liquid option is a more suitable option.

do mean which chemicals use for retro whitening? it is Hydrogen peroxide, However you should be careful when you work with, because it could be a little dangerous in high concentrations, I highly don't recommend to use its creamy types based on my experiences

Unfortunately, The original PS4 can only connect to 2.4GHZ wifi, Your only option is a WiFi to Ethernet adapter. Something like this... www.amazon.com/dp/B0118SPFCK
