Restoration '85 All Rose Telecaster Fender Japan TL-69 Do you cherish your guitar?

Overhaul and restore Fender Japan all-rose Telecaster TL-69.
This was my first time playing an all-rose guitar.
My first thought was that it was heavy....
However, I did not feel any imbalance.
Heavy ash body has the center of gravity on the body side, and it feels uncomfortable, or the balance doesn't feel right when you hold it in your hand.
But this one has a heavy neck. And the body is somewhat lighter (somewhat) because the body has hollows dug into it.
Because of the above, I didn't feel any discomfort when I held it. Except that it is heavy. But after a few days, or rather while I was working on it, I felt that the weight was almost gone and it was comfortable in my hand.
It is a Fender Japan A serial, so I think it was made by Fujigen in 1985.
The thing that I thought was great was the connection of the R's and the fact that there was no discomfort in the R's at all.
Mechanical beauty may sound tasteless, but it is extremely difficult to produce mechanical beauty by hand.
I think you can immediately sense that this is a high-end model or that it took a lot of time and effort.
I felt the paint was ridiculously thick.
Is this good or bad sonically? It depends on your taste, so I can't say it is a negative point in general.
The paint is surprisingly thick. I can understand this because it is a natural coating (clear coating), but it looked like it was 2mm thick....
It looked like polyester paint, but I am not sure if it is ester or not.
Just because it is lacquer does not mean it is a good paint. It is also possible that the thicker coating was applied to suppress the sound of the habitually strong body material.
Another thing is that I practice with polyester coated guitars? I don't dislike the sound of polyester coated guitars, which have a calmer sound.
It's all preference, though.
Thank you for your request.

I don't understand how people dislike these videos. Your work is outstanding and they're super enjoyable to watch. Also a question. Why not use an ultrasonic cleaner for the screws and hardware? You can set it and come back later and all the dirt, grime, and a lot of oxidation will be gone. They'll just need a quick polish after.

  • @Andybassguitar

Fender bros, on a 1-10 scale how big of a sin would it be to take the nitro off of the fret board? I love everything about this beautiful rosewood Tele but despise playing a laminted neck

You could mask off the headstock and heel areas and then carefully knock the shine off the back of the neck and the fingerboard with a Scotchbrite pad, if you’re careful enough it could be buffed back up to a shine again in future
