Restoration $4000 Breitling watch after motorcycle crash | destroyed Superocean Heritage Chronometer
This time I´m restoring a Breitling Superocean Heritage from 2012.
It´s powered by the famous Breitling B17 automatic-movement (based on the ETA 2824-2).
The retail-price of this diving-watch is $4,080 and it is chronometer-certified by the COSC.
This watch is badly damaged...
The movement is not working, the glass, the crown and the case are scratched. The bezel is destroyed and loose and even the strap is ripped off.
I need to clean everything up and polish the case-parts. Some parts are beyond repair so I need to replace the glass, the bezel and some other movement-parts.
After everything is cleaned and polished, I can re-assemble the movement with some fresh oil. After that, this watch is in a fantastic beat (+0 seconds per day) again.
I hope you liked this restoration, if so, like, comment and subscribe ;)

Everytime I see one of your videos, I miss my Father (may G'd keep him at His side) saying to me: "There are no hard tasks, there are the wrong tools!"... How beatiful may be the work of a skilled watchmaker, well equiped and with an artistic eye for videomaking!!! Thanks a lot for your dedication to us, your fans!

I was expecting another fake 'restoration' video. Boy, how wrong I was. Your craftmanship, both as a watchmaker, and as a video producer is unmatched.

Indeed.
Out of this world. This exceeds Netflix by far
That answered my question. Since I don't have a time machine, I'll need to buy a new bezel to replace my scratched one. Nice work on the stuff you could recondition. Having the tools (and knowledge, of course) is everything.
Nevermind the critics. A little humor is often needed as an antidote to our overly serious world. Great job!

I would prefer Breitling over any other brand, including Rolex. Such a beautiful timepiece. Zero, zero, zero on the timegrapher... Perfect!

I'm with you! I have 4 Brietlings, 0 Rolex, and I'm always looking for my next Brietling.
Technician, surgeon, artist.
The Superocean Heritage with the chain bracelet is my favorite watch ever.
I feel like every time I watch one of these videos I see you use a tool I never knew existed to fix a part I've never heard of...you are truly a master craftsman.
Whoever it was that designed the first watch like these was a genius.
I don't even start the video and I press the like button. Thank for posting your videos .
The reveal at the end was easily your best yet.
That Milanese bracelet is a thing of beauty. Stunning on the wrist and adds real presence 👌🏻
The owner or new owner must have been overjoyed when they saw the watch in its restored state. A very watchable video.
I appreciate the mix of highly-specialized, single-purpose tools, and toothpicks
My physical ability to do work like this has long gone but the pleasure I got from watching this is immense, very well done , an expertly produced video.
What an incredible set of horological tools you have, and you have the skill and knowledge to use them all, fine fine work.
That Flux Capacitor works like a dream.
The ending is totally bad ass. Breitling should pay you!
It’s so impressive watching a real craftsman at work. Thank you for taking your time to make these wonderful videos
Beautiful work! You truly are an artist at watch restoration. It is obvious you take pride in your efforts.
Nice. The main lesson I learned from all this is that motorcycles and Casio G-Shock watches are a better combination than with fine mechanical watches.

“Polishing the pivots of the gears“… You are definitely OCD and I love it!
Im sorry Apple theres a new King in town That reveal at the end sir was stupendous. The music, the lighting, the camera pans Top marks.
Love your tools and your socks too.
Oh, if people only knew. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us.
What I find incredible is how this video was created, and this being taken for granted is the best part of it, first as it looks and feels so natural you do not notice it, and second how difficult and time consuming it is to create something like this, all those camera angles and shots while actually doing this restoration, which is by itself a difficult and complicated job. Simply magnificent!

I agree.. i would either throw away the camera or the watch..!! Hell lot of patience..! 👏
Gorgeously restored Brietling! From heartbreak to happiness. The entire process was exceptionally captured on video. Well done, sir-I appreciate your talents, both in watch repair and video work.
Master and the Lord of the restoration of mechanical automatic and non automatic vintage and new watches, excellent job again with the much better tools than a year ago. Lots of Respect’s
I don't know if I've ever seen a watch that "worked" where being inoperable would have been preferable. What a basket case...and what a restoration. Truly remarkable. Thank you.
Cool to see you polish the pivots
Today I made the choice, the choice to start restoring and cleaning watches as a hobby. Timepieces are my passion and your content confirms my need and drive to do what you do here. Thanks mate!
This is one of the most beautiful watches I’ve seen. I love it!
Martini, Cigar, and your videos! Perfection!!!
Wie gesagt, Du bist einfach der Beste.
Geeze, what a beautiful watch. It's great that there are talented craftsman like you to do this. Nice video.
O’ my lord, your work is on another level. The finished product could be passed as brand new. What most of us seem to forget is how tiny these parts actually are, you camera work makes it look easy because everything looks so big, but in actual fact my eyes would be bleeding under the strain. Absolutely fantastic work buddy, well done 👍🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Not the first video I have watched, but this one was truly jaw-dropping!
Such a beautiful watch…totally worth restoring
Not often I comment on videos but, this one is worth it. Very cool restoration and I like the 'silent videos' with subtitles explaining to those not involved in watch repair what you're doing. Superbly shot and loved the cool music on the outro. If I'm being fussy the cost of parts would be useful - just a guideline for those that love the smaller details. Great work.

Inventing the time machine to fix the watch.. that's epic 😉
This watch looks like after bike crash. And good job with this restoration!
These videos keep getting better and better.
Loved this vid, thank you. I just received the latest 42 version of this watch with the Kenissi movement (a birthday gift to myself 😁) and I love it.
Wooo! Love it when I get the notification saying you’ve done a new video! Makes my day!

Put simply, you possess a god given talent.
Looks brand new…. Probably better than new! 👍🇬🇧. Great video
Amazing usage of staking srt and jacot tool. Your videos not so only nice, also educational and phenomenal. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
The flux capacitor time machine is the coolest thing ever!
The absence of talk or music is so good! Total zen relaxation chill out soothing at ease.
And this is why I only watch this watch restoration channel. Very well done sir. I do believe that you have upped your game a couple of notches. Thank you for sharing!
Unbelievable restoration! The owner must have a lot of luck, to survive the crash and now have this beautiful watch as a reminder. Such a cool story... pass this one on to the next generation with an amazing story to tell. Thanks for the video! Love your work

IFf… he’s still alive!..
Love watching these videos but most off us couldn’t even afford the bracelet let alone have the watch rebuilt but that aside what a skill you have and I’m always mesmerised watching you do your work 👍
I'm gunna be honest, Marshall over in wristwatch revival holds my attention better. I'm no watchmaker so the way he narrates the work and explains the parts and tools is really great for me. Loved the time machine though.
The love and care that went into this project is beyond me. Moved me to tears and also in awe about the original watchmakers. This is what KZread is about. Beauty in perfection.
Your videos are so therapeutic! Have you done, or would you consider doing, a video showing all of the tools and machines you use? I would love to know more about the four pots of goo (grease? lubricant?) and all of the tiny pokers and grabbers and spinny things and clicky things. A full tour of the workshop would be ideal. 😅

Afaik there should be grease (for the main spring) and synthetic oils with different viscosity
Watching this video fairly took my breath away. I am honoured to be the custodian of a Breitling Superocean Steelfish (A17390) which is nearly as nice as this Superocean Heritage.

Love the "Time machine" Awesome job!
Wow, just wow! The production and camera work is next level and I’m loving the new polishing machine. You show new skill in every project you do.
Wow, this watch looked like it were toast. Great work bringing it back to life! Hope the owner was okay in the end.
Das war ja mal ein ein Blick ins Innere .👍Perfekt 👍
This is immaculate to see all the tools and usage of them
Those tools are mind-boggling. Great work in what you do. I hope also that the owner is all right from the motor crash.
Love your work! Looks like serious road rash, I hope the rider/wearer was ok.
I like watching your videos when I'm in any sort of discomfort. Just so soothing watching the art of restoring the intricacies of a watch at play.
Good job 👌👌👌 Greetings from Serbia🇷🇸
That was an insane restoration!! Congrats man!! Fantastic job 👏
Incredible restoration. Beautiful watch, and so worth restoring. Also, the outro video is amazing and looks very professional.
Successfully respawned! Just great! 👍 👍 👍
Beautiful video editing, playing with lights. That is 👍👍👍.
Your colorful socks, the flux capacitor and the trash can scenes are smile factors. The attention to detail, absolute care of the of the tiniest pieces, and the before and after images, i love this KZread channel ❤️
As usual, true craftsmanship, i would expect no less from RDR :) Keep up the good work :)
Amazing restoration, the watch looks brand new! 😍

wow! Great job man.. I love timepieces restorations.. I look at them as an artwork that should be alive forever! I wonder how long real work time does this process consume!!
You had me at Flux Capacitor. I actually laughed out loud. Gold!
That outro was AWESOME!!! I was ready to buy one after that

The Flux Capacitor device made me laugh and clapp like a happy kid 🤗😁😂
My God I’m in such awe. Transfixed. The precision. The tools. Amazing. I want to buy an old broken vintage watch to send to you.
Forget the watch. I want to see the motorcycle.
I loved the attention to the time machine! Not often to see a repair due to kinetic damage. Great video. Did the hand of the rider heal as well as the watch?
You narration was stunning, also loved the stupid trick where you reordered the bezel and crystal
Your 7:00 Flux Capacitor was great! I have my machine ordered now.
Looking at the sheer amount of road-rash on this poor Breiting, one must wonder how much of the owner was wore away similarly like a pencil's eraser??? o~0
You got my respect It is very rare in this time to find something perfect such this Professional work fixing the watch And amazing filming and editing skills WELL DONE 👍🏻 I would prefer a leather strap though
Your repair work seems more valuable than the watch itself, I hope it finds a great owner.
Looks better than new, you are skilled my firend!
