Restless Billi

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

I still think she was trying to convey something besides just "play", as she's very familiar with that button and uses it constantly. My guess is she's "all done" with the exercise restriction she's on, but couldn't really get her full point across. ⠀
.⠀
I love that we can both stumble through things, and try to understand. ⠀
.⠀
⁣ Billi is a female domestic shorthair, she's 12 years old, her favorite word is mad. Inspiration from Hunger4Words (check her out on IG).

@@doan2300 fair enough, though it seems that by now most people who are at risk when getting covid have gotten vaccinated as it's so openly available now. those who aren't at risk are, well, not at risk so they don't have much to worry about. unfortunately, getting the vaccine doesn't stop you from spreading it. it just stops you from getting the symptoms so the vaccinated are the ones most capable of spreading it around because they won't know they're doing it when they don't have symptoms to alert them. but, again, those at risk should be vaccinated at this point so... yeah. those not vaccinated who are presumably not at risk are basically dealing with the chance of getting covid just as they are the chance of getting the flu, pneumonia, colds, and such. unless you plan on living in a bubble all your life, you're going to have to deal with the reality that disease and sickness exist and you could be exposed to that. if you're more at risk of dying of diseases (like the flu or covid) then protect yourself accordingly by getting the flu shot or the covid shot, but what needs to stop is a full on expectation that everyone in society needs to be wrapped up in a bubble to cut the chances of anyone getting sick. it sounds like a good idea in theory, but realize that if you stunt your immune system in efforts to eliminate the chance of getting sick, when you eventually do get sick (because sickness and disease exist in this world) you have a higher chance of dying simply because of your efforts to not face illness.

Maybe, just maybe, she wanted to say "sick" "all done" (and used mad because that is what represents all bad things for her). And then wants to covey that as she has recovered she needs to play again? I accept full responsibility for having a real wild idea stretching her possible abilities to the max. As she has chosen the mousy toy to represent toys as such, she could be able to use mad to represent all bad things she has no word for. But admittedly, that is stretching it quite a bit. you could ask "mad ouch all gone, hmmm?" And she could say yes or no.

I think the issue there would be how to model it. How do you form an association between her wanting to do something that isn't already covered by the other buttons? If she's bored she could press play, or want, or any other number of buttons to express needing stimulation.

What’s interesting to me is the clear understanding that you offered food, and the immediate “no”, indicating not necessarily the rejection of food, but a disconnect in paradigms - Billi recognizes the word “food”, without a doubt, and knows that it is not what she is trying to talk about.

Ok I am gonna go full Sherlock Holmes on this case. I wonder if she meant "Mad." And after you started to pay attention to her she was like "Ok I am all done being mad, it was just a ploy to get your attention since I want your attention on me RIGHT NOW since I am SOO bored." Then when you asked her what she wanted she was at a loss. She didnt really know what would make her feel not-restless. Then -- and the most interesting part was that she used Hello Worm and not Play Worm. She just wanted for the worm to appear, didnt even ask where worm was (she has asked that about a toy in one of the videos), just hello worm. I wonder if that meant that she knew where it was, but wanted it to appear infront of her. Also why she didnt use play worm, is probably because she felt weak. Playing - for how I have seen Play - is darting around having the zoomies, going on the ground; etc. Billi probably felt that she couldnt do it in her condition AKA she is feeling somewhat weak, but feeling the frustrations of doing nothing all day. That also explains why Billi was being deliberately careful while playing with the worm. But this is just a theory- a Billi theory, thanks for watching 😎
