I’m gonna chalk this misunderstanding up to a lack of catnip water on my part - you can see she didn’t even let me get a sip in before complaining!
Billi is a female domestic shorthair, she's 13 years old, her favorite word is mad.

Hold up. Did Bili actually ask if "cuddles" would make "mom" "happy" to figure out if letting mom cuddle her would be an appropriate reward for proper behaviour? As in, "You finally understood what I wanted you to do! You may cuddle me as compensation." I guess training by positive reinforcement goes both ways.

Aww, poor Billi! She's probably thinking "I don't get it! I told her clearly and plainly, _twice_ and she still didn't make the outside noise go away"! (Of course, Mom can't make most outside noises go away anyway. But I suspect Billi still appreciates the sympathy she gets from Mom when the noises bother her.) Edit to add 2 things I forgot: I can't believe that you can leave the catnip water just sitting there! My cats, even though they don't like coffee, would still be sticking their noses and paws in it, or at least spilling it for fun! Also, 03:04. Freeze the frame for super cuteness. That is all.

This is very interesting, makes me wonder if cat’s language has slightly different sentence structure than us human/English. If billy does that more often then probably we can see a clear pattern. There are languages that have different flow of sentence, very different from English for sure, which can be referenced. Then once understood, instead of we use our sentence structure, we can use hers.
Billi is brilliant. Look noise. Mom: What noise? Billi: Come.

She pressed noise so many times, it’s great to see how “verbal” she is...she pressed the “oops” for you! That made me happy when she wanted to cuddle! You could see the joy on her tiny face ❤️ Maybe these fur babies are knowing ohhh this is how you humans want us to talk? “Well, ok we can do that for you, but we are so smart we don’t need words” said by all cats 😂
I don't have any speach bottons for my cat but I know he understands, "Do you want to go outside?, I love you, Are you hungry?" He hears those a lot and always responds positively.
The closeup of Billi being cuddled is the best. You can really see how beautiful she is. The expression on her face is so cute. ❤ you Billi
Poor, sweet, gentle Billi just needs a zen sanctuary free from all noise. And I’d love to join her there! Ps: I lol’d so much where she essentially said, “Mom, come here and look. There’s noise outside and it makes me mad.”
Even though I don’t own the buttons, seeing these videos helps me slow down and actually listen to my cat’s body language.
She even says oops when you make a mistake. Give her cuddles for me! I always cuddled with my boy kitty, sadly he has past away. My girl kitty never wanted to cuddle and would try to escape it if I tried, but, when my boy kitty past she suddenly would check on me and would cuddle like she knew mom needed that and the one that would do it wasn't here to do it no more; so she stepped in to fill that void. She's checked on me ever since.

Animals' personalities and family dynamics can often change when a household member dies (or a new one is introduced). Sorry for your loss, but glad you're still getting your cuddles! :) When we adopted our cat, the Humane Society's description of him greatly exaggerated his cuddliness, and even though he's a (mostly) very nice and good cat, I feel lied to and ripped off, lol... but I still love him like crazy, and it's nice just having an animal in the house again (after being petless 7+ years)! :)

I'm convinced more with each video that animals have inner worlds and a counciousness. Humans are egotistical. When we don't fully understand something we like to undermine or simplify it to fit it into our understanding. When really the more you learn about something the more you realize how much you DONT know about it. Once the first stage of ignorance is passed, the first piece of information is obtained, the gates open and curiously is sparked. This is how humans managed to do all this and rule the earth.

As a cat owner I can 100% promise that cats care about their owners (well loved cats anyway). I had a panic attack sins my cat like once, hyper ventilating and freaking out. And he tried rubbing on me, cuddling, everything. Then finally, he just bit me really hard. He never bites. He did it to make me pay attention to him I would stop freaking out. And now, any time I start breathing heavily, he runs up like he's so concerned and gets in my face, trying to make it better. On the few occasions I cry, he even kicks my tears off my face. Because that's how much he doesn't want to see me sad or upset. Cats absolutely care about their owners.
