Pro tips for the dough from my wife, who used to be a baker. 1. Put your salt with your flour rather than the yeast and water as the salt retards the yeast. 2. Before kneading the dough, put a little oil on your hands and you won't have so much dough stick to your hands.

Gday Harry, I love your approach. It’s a powerful message when someone finally has the balls to call it how it is, and how it could be. Your commitment to quality ingredients when you don’t have a supermarket at arms length is testament to this. Few ingredients that work together means minimal effort for maximum satisfaction. Legend.
One thing I've found for thin crust pizza, if you want a sturdier bottom, is that if you just bake the dough for a minute or two before putting sauce and toppings on helps it stay crispier.
Loved this. This is my boys most requested camp meal, and so much similarity to our usual process. The dough in the camp oven with the foil woks a treat. But your sauce looks like a winner, can’t wait to try it next weekend. Like they say you learn something every day. Thanks for this one, most appreciated.

Less is more... best tip right there! I made a wood fired pizza oven at home and try tell all my family when they come over for pizza cause its too hard to spin and cook then in the oven. Love the videos mate keep em coming!

I was thinking why dont you turn the base over as I was planning on trying this myself and then when did I went all old italian, balisimo👌 I like how it gets the smokiness to it. Brilliant.

Harry, great vid once again. We use Mutti can tomatoes, yes I know there imported from Italy but they are taste wise as close to home made passata as you can get from a store bought item (wife is Italian and we make our own passata, 1200 bottles at a time) we often use our BabyQ to cook pizza when camping and have cut BBQ cooking mats down to size to fit the Webber, make the pizza on these and reuse them. So easy, minimal waste and a nice crisp base.
Something that we've done as a cheat on the base, is use a wrap... The family and I think it turned out pretty damn good...
People who eat meat lovers pizza on a thick base are what is wrong with this world. Perfect pizza mate 👍 how it should be

Hello America? I'm an Aussie over here for work and lets just say American food choices are "What Harry Said" lol... Under the Bus Harry... Just kidding but the Y's put way to much shhhh...stuff on there pizza's... especially Chicago style, thick crust, the centre is gooey doh! Oh Know! Thin and a few toppings, go with the simple robust flavour's that you're looking for. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)
Wow, I usually avoid adding cheese to my pizza as I don't like what it does to the toppings. I can't believe I have never thought to put the cheese on first hahaha. Thanks mate, you have fixed my pizza dilemma

That looks awesome. Pizza is also a favourite of mine to cook. Thin base and sparse ingredients all the way. I have been lacking motivation for pizzas lately but this video has definitely inspired me to cook one. Now because that was so good, here's my worst pizza story. I was driving to Sydney from Melbourne with my family and it was decided much to my dismay to pull into the outer suburbs of Canberra for some food. I ordered a pizza from a local shop because I thought "It can't be that bad". Oh how wrong I was. The crust was about 3cm thick and the ingredients another 3 - 4 cm no joke. It tasted like rubber. I couldn't even finish a slice.

hey mate love the vids next time give this a try don't cook the pizza sauce chuck in some salt (decent amount to take the bitterness away) and oregano etc I always cooked my pizza sauce cause mum did but then I worked for a great little italian restaurant where we had a woodfire pizza oven and the italian nonas taught me alot.

Hey Harry, another solution when cooking Pizzas with the camp oven, use the lid Upside down, place ya pizza on the lid, and your oven (Pot) is the actual lid. Almost like creating a pizza oven. Hope this makes sense 😬 Love ya work mate 👍

your right cheese first , toppings need to cook. cheese just needs to melt also got to do the cheese first so toppings stick to the base in the melted cheese , other way around it will all fall off that works for me best .

very good but how do you cook pizza when you have a family. this method is okay when your flying solo. what about pre made or store bought bases including using leftover sandwich wraps
My wife who used to work at a dominos still tries to put cheese on top. She got pretty angry when I told her the home made pizza was terrible with cheese on top.

Mate i'm an Aussie living in the USA these days. I want those spun steel dutch ovens (Bidourie's) whatever you call them... i've tried a company you recommended a while ago but they won't ship to the USA, albeit that was about a year ago. Although i love my cast iron cooking its about the weight Mate! any suggestions would be awesome, Cheers...

Cooked 4 pizzas last camp trip: shit, better, not bad, pretty good. In the cast iron camp oven, problems getting them out, your idea is brilliant, cook on lid, cover with (the big bit)... correct, less is more..wrong, basil leaves. Cheers, I'd still eat yours.

Because SR flour doesn’t contain it, it contains baking powder, but not yeast to make it react and rise

It’s the Sunset and it’s a comfy chair but the weight does mean it flies away in the wind at times. There isn’t much you can do about that other than buying a heavier chair (the Red Roads is a bit heavier and might be an option?)

Pizza looks good but that was so much more work than you need to put in to get a great pizza from scratch. My first job was in a pizza shop so I've been making pizza's most of my life. Keep it simple l reckon. Check out my camp oven pizza video and leave a comment to let my know what you think.
