The Prophet P.b.u.h said, whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the day of resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate For wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according the oppression which he has done, & if he has No good deeds left then the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him ( Sahih Bukhari 2449 )

It may not be called concubinage in the secular world but too many men have slept with maids or college age or older babysitters for centuries! A person must be strong in their faith, practice and love for ALLAH and their spouse to resist temptation!

Who says muslims do not accept concubinage? You cannot speak for all muslims. Isis for example adopted concubinage. I myself also like the idea of it as a muslim. And classically it was permissible. The ottoman sultans did it too. Whatever is ambiguous in the koran is a mercy for mankind. So if the meaning of "what your right hand pocesses" is ambiguous in that we dont know if it only means wife but also slaves, then its open for interpretation and ambiguous which is a mercy to us.

Well now the question is should the owner of the female slave give her talaq, if he wanted to give her to someone else. That's a reasonable question and no from my knowledge few knowledgeable Muslims struggle with this topic, it is just those who are weak and not knowledgeable of history of human civilization

Allah is injustice with war captive non muslim women. I compelled to say this after reading Bukhari hadith and fiqh. they must not be in any commodity..but Islam has allowed them to be sell and buy as product. that is sad. the security of women prisoners of war could have been arranged differently. There was no need to do that. i am a muslim boy but sorry to say that. should not sell & buy them like product

I'm a Muslim woman . I think its fair. They were doing the same time muslim women at the time. Why should we have to take care of their women after they went to war with us? The people at that time were poor so it makes sense to get financial compensation. In the same way you would expect an employer to keep an employee for free in the same way back then there was a contract. The prisoner will work to pay back their debt to society (for going into war with Muslims) and in return they would be taken care of with shelter, food and treated like a family member (you know, all the things that they wished to deprive Muslims of!) And look at how muslim prisoners are treated now. Look how mothers and children are being kept in camps ! You think that's humans ? In islam you're not allowed to refer to the pow as a slave .

Hadith says the Muslim ate only dates and water while they have the POW bread so they put the POW first ! We need to learn our history sister ! They don’t care they Bilal(ra) was tourtured with hot fire by the polytheist this is how slaves were treated for centuries before Islam

Leave it to this guy to use his favorite excuse: “it was a wide spread practice.” He uses that excuse to defend mhamed’s pdolia too, for which not a single mzm can tell me what other king, let alone religious leader, did the same. If it was so “wide spread practiced,” u shouldn’t have a prob coming up w one name!

It seems Allah cant speak very clearly, So lawyer apologist have a way of using technicality , to win there case. Religion and politics , I don't find any difference , the leaders knows the target market, so speak accordingly, Use damage control strategy I feel sorry for the genuine fallowers, who happens to be the majority Sad facts of Life I guess
