While I do agree with Rory, for the first time ever. Lol. However, I do think Rory is just more upset that Mounts statement contradicts the narrative that Chelsea failed to agree terms with Mount and didn't give him what he "deserved". He said that he's moved to a direct rival for himself. It exonerates the Chelsea ownership when you realise that he's going to earn 250k a week plus performance bonus which could earn him 300k. For a guy that scored 3 goals last season. For a team who have a bad history with guys earning over 300k in Lukaku and Sterling, why would Chelsea want to do that again.

what a ridiculously bad take. This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that despite their recent successes, Chelsea aren't a big club yet. At United, we have said goodbye to literally generations of academy talents/long term servants. Its always, thank you for your service to the shirt, good luck for your future. Always applause when coming back to OT. Di maria is probably one of the notable exceptions in the past 25 years that I've followed United.

Completely agree. This is what a lot of fans have been saying about him for a long time. Even with the clapping with the fans at the end of games, it felt more for him than it actually was for the fans. There was no chance he was better than rudiger, James and especially Thiago silva in the 21-22 season. There’s always been this massive bias ness towards him where he’s been completely shielded from any criticism whatsoever. He’s the most protected and over loved player I’ve seen at my club ever. Gallagher, James, loftus cheek and others from the academy never received backing and support like he did. He even got a banner whilst Kante whose one of our greatest ever players never received one. You rival fans only ever saw things from a distance and clearly don’t understand the day to day events surrounding mount so you have no right to tell us how to feel. He’s scum and always has been tbh but I hope you and him the best at your club.

I am not a fan of Chelsea I am a fan of Barca. The point of an academy player is to fit the team and when you get older you either become the face of the team or you leave since you weren’t able to show your worth.
