thanks how to know the difference between MSD capacitors and MSD resistors if they have no letter or number how to know if these parts are broken how we know the value of them , I have similar MSD capacitors and resistors on mini STB powered by 12V and I found 2 are broken but I didn't see any number on them any help where can I buy them thank you very much

how find 2RD SMD capacitor ?

I have a backlight inverter from an LCD TV and it has a slight burn mark on the back of the inverter board, on the other side there are four resistors with 0's on them and one looks burned. They are all connected to the same trace. Would it be ok to bridge that part and bypass those resistors? I'm assuming that the 0 on the resistors means no ohms of resistance which is basically like direct connection. I was going to scrape the trace which are thick and solder a wire onto them and connect the two.

I think yes it would be okay, 0 ohm resistor normally is used as a bridge itself, and normally it wouldn't bring a problem if you substitute it with a wire, but take this with a grain of salt

+underfloor heating installer 0.183 Ohm. I only refer to this video. To be sure i would check the datasheet of the resistor.

Zero ohms. They are sometimes used to "hop" over traces on a singled sided PCB.

You much too quickly glossed over that whole "underlined" thing (and did so after presumably being done talking about 3 digit codes), which can cause a huge error when looking at 3 digit codes...

what you mean.. with a multimeter? your ohm should be on 200 K / on 20K it maybe give you until 1999, otherwise 1. on 200 k . 0.200

Why they make it hard, why not just write it "3k1" instead of "312". Who on earth would think "233" means greater than "312"? And if they can write that small, why though hole one still use color?
