Say what shitty things you will about the wii. Resident evil 4 for the Wii was one of the best games for the system. And it was the superior way to play. No other version of the game allowed you to flick your wrist and shoot at the wrist breaking angles that game allowed.

It might be a small, insignificant detail, but I LOVE that they finally used accurate Spanish accents. It was so weird hearing Latin American accents when the game was supposed to be set in Spain. As a Spanish person, I really appreciate it.

Wanted to say thanks. First RE game sad to say. I'm 58 and played pc games since wolfenstein 3d on floppy disks but had no idea what to do at this point. The game assumes a lot for first time player. I was trying to kill everything like a FPS lol but your comment "I like how this is a timed event" saved me. I was trying to kill chainsaw guy but your video helped me see I just have to stay alive until the bell tolls. In the olden days lol there was no internet. No community just you and a PC to work stuff out. You got stuck you just keep at it. I'm thankful for youtube and gamers like yourself that help others out like this. They are more than a walk through thy are training in combat, strategy and how to play well. So a big thanks. I'll keep watching as I play through to work out how to play this franchise.

I am 47 and remember those days. Some Devs or Studios would set up a Call Center wich you could ring up when you where stuck in the game. Most of the time you would be held in line for 30 min. and more, by that time i mostly figured it out bymyself 😅imagine

I played on pc so no idea but any game uses battery life due to the demand for GPU and CPU power so yeah all 3D games use more power ie battery on hand held devices. @@hocineted7594

These remakes just show off how far gaming has come. The cut scenes have the exact same fidelity as the gameplay, and the transition from scene to gameplay is seamless. I remember back in the day, games would load before and after the cut scenes, and the graphics of the gameplay wasn’t nearly as good as the scenes. I wish you a speedy recovery brad! Everyone’s been getting sick lately, no coincidence The Last of Us premiered and it’s been a lot of sickness going around.

For me it's the opposite. The first game was made 20 years ago, and the remake which IS a big upgrade, doesn't feel like a 20 year jump in the same way 2004 was a twenty year jump from 1984, which growth of gaming felt like it's been 20 years, and while there have been many changes, it still isn't THAT different from the original. Just a few new mechanics, throw out old ones. 2004 -> 2023 in general feels like 3D games have been refined. Whereas 1984->2004 games TRANSFORMED multiple times. I have the feeling that games in 20 years from now won't be a transformation of anykind. Just more refinement of what already exists, and probably LESS refinement than there was between 2004 and 2023, always sticking with 'proven' game loops and mechanics, which kinda dampens my excitement for future video games. I really wanna see at least one major transformation of gaming again. Though I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

@@evo2542 well it’s not much more improvement to be done… back in the 60-80s games were 2 bit pixels… the 90s brought 3D and more polygons. If you don’t see a jump in gaming from 04 to now then idk what to tell ya. To me gaming has transformed from then. I don’t even have to put a disk in my console anymore… the games are downloaded. The games back then easy looked like games, today they look like blockbuster movies, even the hair and clothes move.

This remake changed a lot of dialogues and cutscenes...and skipped several things like the U3 battle, the forked path at the village, even the Separate Ways Segment. I was thinking this is an alternate timeline. But the details have been perfected and much more realistic than the original. Love it so much ❤️

I love this guy’s gaming style. He takes his time, looks around, and lets you absorb the feeling and atmosphere of the game. It’s nice to watch someone who isn’t obsessed with speed runs.

I’ve never watched you before but I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you go back and double check. You play games with care while recording like you would if you were just playing for yourself . I don’t have to be like “oh! No! Go back!! You missed that!” Like I have to do with most KZreadrs I watch. You’re playing this the way I would and I love it! I’m loving this play through so far and absolutely loving the way you play this game. I’m going to have to subscribe now and watch your other content! ❤

After coming back to the first video again after watching all the way thru, I’m just shook at how good it actually is! My favorite part is the reimagining of Leon. He’s still our hero but has a softness about him. For instance, when he has anxiety at moments of gameplay or in battle. He has flashbacks about Raccoon City and losing (he thought) Ada. I also like that they leave behind his womanizing side we sometimes see, while still keeping his humor and sarcasm. Super stoked to see what Capcom does with him going forward!

Re4 was my absolute favorite. The thrill, terror, and fun I had. I didn’t know I could feel that again playing the same game over, but the chainsaw trial brought me just that

RE4 is by far my favorite game. Brings back so many memories on that game cube

RE2 on the PS1 changed my life forever and ever since then I have been a fan of RE! I remember running into my room and watching my brother play the game and I remember playing Leon for the first time, what a trip!

I first watched you since I was 16, I’m 26 now, married with a son and a daughter. I remember when a game was close to release or had just come released that I really wanted to play, I would immediately go to your channel and see if you’d covered it and most of the time you would have. Street fighter 2 turbo on Sega Mega drive was my first game ever... RE2 on ps1 is something truly, truly special.The way the door opens in the dark... damn it was so damn scary and incredible. I dont know why I dont enjoy gaming that much anymore compared to when I was 8 or 9...

Resident evil 7 was probably my favourite RE. The graphics were insane for its time and the horror was raised to a whole new level, as well as the gore. Ethan’s story is great and the eerie vibe to the house really sets the mood. The first person aspect of the game made tight situations tighter and scarier. RE4 has always had a spot in my heart though. Keep up the great work Brad! I look forward to this series

Its existence is only because of PT, you know, and did a lot of damage to the actual lore of the franchise. You can like it, obviously, and I'm glad you do, but they didn't make it out of passion. RE8 had passion behind it but was still counter to the lore.

I watch you in order to figure out if I want to buy a game or not. I'm retired now so I've got lots of time to play. Favorites are FPS. In fact, I just finished Dying Light 2, then Dying Light (Xbox X). These games creep me out and give me weird dreams, but lots of fun. Thanks for the entertainment over the years. Having watched Brad for so long and see his childhood be reanimated better is just, great.

Started watching Brad when I was looking for Dead rising 2 gameplays. Got addicted and went through every play through for a few years. Loved dead island, all of those. Loved watching the games I was too scared at that time to play it couldn’t afford. I am glad to see him doing the same thing. Helping kids enjoy games.

I’m rewatching this series again. Just finished watching separate ways and there was a part on either one of the last two episodes where I hear the infamous “how convenient.” As we all know it’s not a Rad Brad video unless that phrase is stated. I’ve been watching your videos since 2016 or 2017 because you’re the only gamer I can actually stand listening to the commentary on. Glad you’re still going strong 10 years later!

RE 2 is def the best. Playing it back in the day with my older brother and Dad was absolutely nutty. Love all the work Brad u do what no one else can ❤️. Happy birthday to everyone n stay healthy

Hey Brad. My daughter was born during resident evil 8 release so that game definitely holds a special place in my heart especially since it had the trophy universe’s best dad. It was the first resi game I decided to get all trophies for which I eventually did. So I would have to say re8 is my favorite especially since my time for gaming was cut drastically. I learned to appreciate that time more

I'm Loving the Remake! I had my doubts initially but after a few hours of gameplay, I absolutely Love it!!! In most aspects, I'm enjoying as much as the original. All the little frustrating moments I had with RE4-2005 have disappeared! When I get to a point in the Remake, I'm anticipating the moments I dreaded most about the original and find that they're either More fun than previous or completely done away with. Beautiful game - Such a great time, will absolutely do further Playthroughs!!!

My favourite is RE4 on GameCube; it was the last game I played with my dad before he passed on in life. Those memories make this re-make all the more special for me. If it was not for you, Brad, I would have never played this game on Xbox and found that last medalian all those years later. Thank you for sticking with KZread and us all these years later.

Resident evil on PS1 was probably my favorite. I remember spending hours as a kid trying to figure out the puzzles until I broke down and finally printed a walkthrough off the internet. lol. I was super young and some of the puzzles were a bit too hard for me. I can still remember the feel of the game though, and how it had that really scary atmosphere for that time. Was quite the experience.
