Looks a fun water to fish for runs. I'd be tempted to fish it with cheaper bait though as it needs a lot of feeding.

Not familiar with the water but wondered if they were on the longest walk grotty bank end of the lake, after reading comments seems I was right, bit of extra effort paid off nice one.

How are you both using three rods when it clearly states in the rules Two rods Max. Also why do you need forceps when it is also barbless hooks only ?

Even barbless hooks get stuck sometimes, occasionally you won't be able to get your fingers far enough into the mouth with a small fish or the hook gets jammed into a bony part and needs some leverage to get out. I only ever use barbless and always carry forceps for those reasons
