Agree. I had a reference 700sx. 700 watts into 2ohms class a/b. Back in the 90s 2 ohms bridged was a premium and it was well over a $1/watt. I like that it’s generally cheaper today but much of it is china crap and sq isn’t even considered. Phoenix gold was another that was extremely good.

Bought a set of their subs and an Amp from a local stereo shop back in the mid to late 90's and they were great!
Your reviews are great, but i love the comedic clips you slip in throughout the video's , so funny thanks
I give them a couple extra points for not having that dang tarantula graphic on the amps.
THANKS! I was waiting for this video!!! in paper they are very small print and looks like a good amp.... good to know all the dyno and info available...
@1:56 - Bro! You're upping the production value a little with these shots. Very nice.
I’m glad you tested these. I’m needing a small amp for a kicker 6.5 for my wife’s car. It’s a 2 ohm sub and it’s hard to find an amp that puts out 200-300 watts, so I’m assuming by your rating on the 1.4000, the 1.2000 would actually be perfect. It’s rated at 480 at 2 ohms, so it probably does 250. Thanks for another awesome video
glad you hook up some of these to tops/bookshelves. Its not perfect in videos of course, but you'd also tell us of any weirdness going on if you got it in person.

@@mikeberndt181 I bought a used 90's Rubicon and it was an absolute badass. It did finally kick the bucket, so I bought a mid 2010's 5 channel Rubicon to replace it. It was not even close in power nor sound quality, and died in less than 3 years, running no lower than 2 ohm/ch. It didn't even stand up to an Alpine VPower that I had, which was rated at less power.
@3:54 - Just for the pedants in the audience - These are probably considered "Mini" or "Micro2" fuses by the manufacturers. "PICO" fuses are a registered trademark for low-profile, axial-lead fuses for circuit boards.
These are similar to my NVX VADM2 micro amp I'm using to power my 3 way kappas in my 89 bmw. They also make a 4 channel version not sure how they compare on power to these but definitely useful especially for tight spaces. Not sure if you've tested the NVX yet

@@GulliJ my comment keeps getting deleted! It's a great amp! I totally recommend it plus it runs cooler than my previous Soundstream. It's driving 4 x Rockford Fosgate T1T-S tweeters (front and rear doors) , 2x 6.5 Alpine R-S65.2 speakers (front doors) 2 x Kicker 44KSC6704 (rear doors) and a JL Audio 10TW3-D8 subwoofer (back seat) like a Champ!
My soundstream amp puts out mega engine noise thinking of getting a different 4ch. I’ve doubled the grounds added more and thicker grounds to my stereo and EQ and added another ground to my battery and still have engine noise. Ive never had this issue with other brands. Not even the cheap stuff 😂
Looks very similar in size and build to the RZR series amps from Power Acoustik...and power output too!
I like the form factor of those amps, and they seem to be a decent value. It is a shame that they lied about the power ratings, but not as badly as others have. Great review as always Big D!

would love to see a video of what the big boy reserve line does.
They Rubicon series was a beast of a amp. I love those.
1khz is a cheat since most amps produce less from 20hz to 20khz. This was the way Stereo Review often tested. I've seen d class amps fall to nearly zero at 20khz.
Big D I haven't been getting to watch your vids as much recently as I'm used to... Thanks for another great video! This probably helped me decide on marking Soundstream off my list of budget 6.5" components that I'm considering getting for an SUV I just recently acquired. *** If anyone has any suggestions on more budget category 6.5" component sets that are worth having in a vehicle & would work well with either a 110.4 amp or 250.4 amp be sure & lmk your suggestions. Some 6.5" component sets I am considering atm (btw, i plan to buy to sets to put 2 sets in my SUV). *The new D4S honeycombs are what I'm really wanting to try but do not think I want to spend that amount of $ since I will not be driving the SUV near as much as my cars.
Looks almost identical to the Blaupunkt AMP1904D(I think you tested it's bluetooth brother a while back). The size, power, and terminals are also similar to the Dual XPR84D/Da10004D and the Jensen bluetooth amps, though the layouts are different so I don't think they're not possible clones like the Blaupunkt. I have 2 Soundstream stealth 4 channel amps, one is their biggest version and the other is the bluetooth version, and they both make noise like you showed at the end. Not sure if it's a Soundstream thing or a problem with digital amplifiers in general.
Thanks for all your help.
For 3.5mm cables, what I do to prevent accidental unplugging is to provide strain relief. Easiest method is to use a small cable clamp. Screw down clamp with one of the amp mounting screws. Problem solved
Still love my old school soundstreams but what epsilon has done with them is sacrilege

Can u make a video explaining what everything is on an amp and what they do?
That little sundown is getting down. Sundown is all I run brother. You pay the money but that stuff lasts more then the others. In my thinking. I've had them for 3 years and no problems ever!
Good afternoon. A few months you did a demo video on the prefab 18" Skar SDR woofer. You hinted that you might do a review of that box in a home theater application. Is that something that will be coming soon, or should I let go of that thought?
Would like to know what the full size amps ….reserve will do if better than the micro line
Can that 4channel run as 3? It would be pretty spot on for my needs if so
I bought a cerwin Vega 4004 d mini amp last year I don't know what it would look like on a dyno But it definitely bump tho 🤤
If you look at the blaupunkt four channel micro amp you tested a while back, this amp looks almost identical inside and similar power and speaker terminals. Same build house??
What compact 1ohm bass amplifier at near 1k watts would you recommend over this one? Thanks.
Can you use the inputs as a pass through to have a bluetooth amp send signal to this?
Any other honorable mentions or recommendations for 1000-2000 watt RMS for around $100-150?
That 40hz roast 😅
Excuse me, can you explain what is efficiency in audio amplifiers? And why in Chinese amplifiers the declared power is 2 times less than the real one? And why in different countries about audio power differ from real indicators?
Can I use this amp to power my 4 YAMAHA NSIC800WH 140-Watts 2-Way RMS Speakers that I have mounted in my Living room Ceiling? Using a 12v power supply to power them up! I need to add them inline from my amplifier because the wire is too long to the speakers. I really don't have an idea on how to make these speakers fireup.
I like the 3.5mm TRS plug because it’s easier to install. It’s easier to modify and easily available everywhere. The RJ11 cord has to be handled with care and they are not all standardized. There’s a 4 conductor and a 6 conductor. Good luck. I just add a dab of silicone sealant to the crown of the 3.5mm and then plug it in. It’s not going anywhere
4channel is a Dead Ringer for the Blaupunkt AMP1904D
Can anything be done to take away the harshness of these digital amps?
Well thank you this looks like something I would of tried.
I feel the reason car audio manufacturers especially on the cheaper end put max wattage numbers is to entice the unknowing customer who just thinks big numbers = real power while the rest of us will research before buying even if includes videos you’ve done on said amp.
Ive got the 4 channel and the smaller monoblock in my van, a bit under powered but they sound decent and they dont take up any space. I dont hate them but i don't love them. Gonna probably swap them for a JP77 and use these to power some stuff in my camper

I tested the mono amp in real life. It does not like being played at 1 ohm for very long.
Dude, these are cute little amps. I'd like to see an entire rack of these powering Infinity 6.5 separates and a couple of dual VC subs. Each driver to an amp. Why? Because I'm a big dummy.
Question. If people are not listening to rap music with the subwoofers. Then what do they listen to? Because ive seen people have nice set ups and when they play the music you cant even hear the subs. I never hear them bumpin T. Swift like people do 21 savage. Or hardly ever hear 80's rock which is pretty great for subs. But whats not is like 80's pop music. Example walking on sunshine i tried playing that on the 12's and it didn't feel good.
That noise on the 4 channel, must be an oops. That sounds like a floating ground on one of the rca inputs or it’s not referenced to 0 volt rail properly.
Aye big dee u seen that new gatley audio 3900 monoblock yet?
Another good video thanks for sharing.
To be honest, for the price the 4channel would have been perfect for the first upgrade we used to do back in the 90s in a sedan where you would add a sub in the boot (trunk) and add 6x9s on the rear shelf.

Soundstream finally makes a amp line that can do rated power and they decided to call them premium 😂😅. But they didn't really make rated power or just barely did lol
When I see a big amp, and I take the cover off and see all the wasted space, all the gaps of nothingness in the PCB, I knew damn well we could make amps high powered while being incredibly small. I reminds me of Nvidia graphics cards. They shrunk the PCB so small while fitting the same stuff that the board is now usually half the size of the cooler on it. So I know for damn sure all brands should be gong the "smaller" route. 30 amps times 12 volts is 360 watts. I agree, the 1200w max stuff needs to stop. Because it can't do that if they tried. 360/4 would mean 90 watts per channel. at 14.4 you get 432 which divided by 4 speakers would be 108 per speaker. So lol. When i go looking online for amps, I always see what the fuse is, because it will never draw more than the fuse rating. or combined fuse rating if it has multiple fuses. and that gives you a baseline for performance.

@wal I agree that printing MAX Power on the boxes is obsolete and belongs in a different era. But so does Watts "RMS". Please just say Watts. You are THE amp dyno guy and if you're using this misunderstood and in this context simply wrong unit, you'll teach the next generation to use it and it will never die out like it should have right after it was printed on a data sheet for the first time. [Warning: long-winded rant] For those wondering: RMS means root mean square. The speaker is driven by an alternating current. If you wanna know the effective current or voltage of a sinusoidal signal you cant just average the signal because the result would be zero. Instead you take the square of the signals differential(average) so all the negative portions become positive, then take the square root to return to the actual values. What you get is the equivalent dc voltage or current of the AC-signal otherwise known as their effective values denoted as V rms and A rms respectively. Now, even IF you could simply multiply the two to get Watts (which you can't without looking at phase, but this comment is too long already), the result CERTAINLY would not be Watts RMS. Vrms x Arms is not equal to Wrms. That wouldn't make the least amount of sense. Thats like saying 2(avg) * 2(avg) = square root of the squared average of 4... WAT (pun intended) WTF is that supposed to mean. Since when does a simple multiplication involve taking an average?! An average of what? Itself? Multiplying two effective values means their product must already be an effective value as well! Why would there be any reason to take the square root of its square?!?! Watts are always positive no matter dc or ac! So at best the RMS part is entirely redundant. Not nearly at its worst, Watts RMS is implying that there is such a thing as negative amounts of work/watts! Like, what?! I'm purposefully overplaying all this a little bit. I know that in the end someone probably thought the RMS needed to be carried over and no one ever questioned it. But i'd like to think we are past that time. We have independent creators like Big D and many others, doing nothing but questioning. With tools like the amp dyno we are long past blindly trusting manufacturers overinflated numbers. So why should we keep using their ill-informed unit. I'm happy to see that the amp dyno doesn't actually display "RMS". Even if it's just to save space(which i doubt), that's probably the best reason to stop using Watts RMS :)
That 4ch looks like someone said, keep all the features and controls of the bigger amps but squash it, almost looks too cluttered.

The noise issue would keep me away from the 4ch
Ill still with my Power acoustik branded one. 😅
