Carpet is great, but if he can spare it, then metal gold tiles will probably be a lot better in the long run. But there's also something to be said about having the mesh tiles so that you have more real estate for holding oxygen inside of the rocket.

1:40 the point of interest of a telescope is the middle tile, not the right tile. Many buildings have animations that do not mirror the actual location of the dupe

Yeah, I have a rocket platform on the fire planet in the magma and it is still 45C

You should name the other rocket "The gas sniffer". Not only is it going to be mining giant clouds of asteroids, it is also canaary yellow. So, very on-theme.

@Echo for the new colony you could use an evaporator system for the polluted water rather than sieving and electrolyzing it. Could feed some of the pokeshells to keep a supply of sand, and if needed farm a few mutated balm lillies for rot.

Rocket name suggestion: "Bat Scavenger" because bats navigate by Echo location and it will be gathering all kinds of materials from space.

You should have those cooling plants in any place in the base that isn't being used like a 1 by 1 gap between machines or beds can be a good spot to add a cool plant to help keep the base cool everywhere.

You could mine the organic mass fields to get algae for a oxygen diffuser inside the rocket. It may heat up the interior but it might be better than gas cargo module.

The first thing that came to my mind for the rocket was "The Over Miner" it might just be because I re-watched Incredibles recently though.

If you inspect your printing pod, you can get some data disks.

Storing oxygen in those pipes only gives you about 1/3 of a cycle's worth of oxygen; not worth the hassle. But storing water in similar pipes gives you many cycles on bathroom use, without the need of a water tank!

I think SS Punkin's Escape is a great name! :Echo3ROFL

I loved the building montage at 11:10! Also the second rocket should be named "The Sudden Combustion"

“The Space Canary” maybe?

On the rover recharge and skills thing, maybe they could make a building that either has to be in a rocket or on a planet with a rover lander. The building would need dupe labor, but would add the dupe's skills to all the rovers controlled by the station, maybe divided among them and restricted by the number of research + Pilot skill points assigned to the dupe [the skill Rover Control could require Pilot 1 but be a Science skill. Here's the game loop: -Once landed, Rover's Lander will have 2 automated crafting jobs that rover can feed and initiate --Replace Power Core: this costs as much as a small battery and disables rover for the construction time of the battery --Make a new Rover: This prevents rovers from recharging at the lander, but constructs additional rovers [and maybe sweepy] to be used. -Have a Rover Command Station either on the rocket that has Rover's Module or on a planet with Rover's Lander [or maybe a Mission Control Module] -Every time a rover gets refit during a power core replacement, it gets the skill tags [what tasks can be assigned to it] of the dupe performing the "Rover Command" task, as well as that dupe's skill bonuses divided by the numbers of attached rovers [max could be the operator's number of research and pilot skill traits selected] To prevent a machine awakening, like normal Rover cannot use stations, or buildings that require active dupe labor [so no rovers controlling rovers]

Echo, you know you don't need gas pump in your rocket? Just put the air vent at the bottom, it will delete pockets of carbon dioxide for free. Also it's nice to have tickled tootsies inside of a rocket, having a buddy bud for floral scent and table salt for +1 morale

Loving the series, I really like seeing what ends game has to offer. For the ship how about "the Tortoise" after the tortoise and the hare story. Slow but efficient.

Very late to the party but I was just wanting to point out, you kinda called it with the robots thing. The Bio-bot builder story trait seems to be exactly that.

Oh I've got almost the same planetoid on my current game, 3 gold volcanos and 1 cobalt, copper, and 2 natural gas, and on my starting ones almost no water supply, I've made it to cycle 1000 without electrolysers, and using my 4 coloring vents to full potential on salt production. XD

For the drillcone rocket name it "USS Doretta" rock and stone

Call the new rocket the EyeSpy

I think since the Nuclear waste is Corrosive... And Batteries require Acid... A Building that takes a Nuclear waste Input and makes Rad-Acid Complex and then a Station to create "Lead Rad acid Battery" to replace Rovers Battery... And make Advanced batteries and Advanced Smart batteries that don't leak nearly as much Power or Heat up Almost at all... Maybe...

I understand perhaps my previous naming suggestion for the nuclear sauna may have lacked clarity and sophistication. Therefore my new name suggestion for the new telescope rocket: B.O.B.S. Battery Operated Brainstorming Space This supports the identity of the rocket by explicitly stating it operates on battery power rather than direct generator / hamster wheel. It is a research module so surely brainstorming clearly represents the function of this rocket. Space tells us that it is not an idea, it is a defined location, or a “space” ..... in space... for battery operated brainstorming Welcome to the colony.... BOBS! :D P.s. I may have artificially boosted the first Bob shout out by sharing the video with absolutely everyone who would watch it 😁

You're also storing waaay to much berry sludge in the rockets. 100kg = 400 cycles for one dupe.

Some pixel packs would be nice when you're forgotten in space for a 100 cycles.

4:30 or a Rover you can recharge.

Get oxylite in the rocket. 60kg's per dupe per cycle is all you need, 1tonne lasts you ~16.7 cycles for one dupe, no need for a gas canister on the rocket and that much more space! Just remember to drop the oxylite somewhere where it will never be submerged from accidents so it doesn't all go off and cause popped ear drums (+20% stress/cycle).

@@grandfremdling3841 fair enough, but just go to a gold asteroid field and start getting some influx. It is by far the handiest way to do space. Or just infinite O2 storage connected to atmosuits with an overflow to oxygenate the rocket.

The pilot seat is only in use rarely. It is okay to have a bit of radiation - the issues is large amounts for long times.

What about a lazy dup mod build robots do all work to provide for colony so they have only fun free time more work less joy
