Thank you! Its coming along. We can hardly wait to take it on a trip.
Being a vanner myself and in the process of restoring a 73 Dodge van, I can only applaud you rescuing this old Dodge conversion van. I’m not surprised you got the 318 running as they are very dependable motors that run a long time. A quarter million miles on it, the previous owner said? Amazing! If you want to get a little better mileage out of it find then find an old Dodge truck with a 4 speed O/D automatic from late 80s or early 90s. That would be a 518 or 46RH you need. My 73 has a 360 with a 518 and it works pretty nice. I just push a button to turn in the O/D when I’m traveling above 50 mph. You can set it up to work automatically too like it did in the donor vehicle. Good luck. Will be watching for more in this van.

Fun Fact : In 2025 , Texas will no longer require us to submit our vehicles to an annual state inspection ..Everyone will still pay the $7.50 annual fee , and the 17 counties surrounding Dallas-Ft. Worth and Houston will still need to submit to the emission sniff testing ( we're in Montgomery which is one of those stinky counties that makes us pass the ding-dang cotton-pick'n emission sniffy test on our vehicles ) HUGE THUMBS UP on your latest ULTRA MASSIVE project 😇❤

Hi, I used to live In London UK. Luckily We retired to the coast 21 years ago. Nowadays within the huge ring road around London, the M25 motorway, Only new or near-new vehicles can drive in the area known as the ULEZ. - ULTRA LOW EMISSION ZONE. If your vehicle Is not acceptable you pay a daily £12.50 charge. Many 1000s of vehicles have been sold even trucks even ambulances, fire engines and police vehicles. It's pure madness.

@@TUMBLINJEST But even still , the UK's VOSA MOT test is far more strict and detailed than the typical U.S. vehicle inspection . Here , -if you have good brakes , a good horn , good tyres/tires , good windshield wipers , quiet non-smoking exhaust , and working lights all around -your vehicle will pass ..I have sympathy for the vintage car enthusiasts in the UK and throughout Europe in general ANOTHER FUN FACT : I was actually born in the '80's at Lakenheath AFB , UK 😉

Any old Van like this is cool, it doesn't matter if it's a Chevy Dodge of Ford. 21:40, believe it or not, they actually put that seam in there from the factory, it was not extended for a conversion. These Vans were used as airport service and church use, Vehicles, the extra space at the back was added for cargo space, from the factory.

I use to have a show van. I had a 1976 Ford Ecoline. It had pictures of a white polor bear looking over a cliff in the sunset. It had flairs and spoilers and four zoomies. Black fury roof and blue carpet. It had a 12 inch steering wheel. Aluminum rims. I was in a van club. Central Illinois Van Club. Loved it! The van was silver. CB handle Silver Bear.

With all the options you have with late model cars/trucks in the junkyards you can have a large choice of seats to choose from. Like late model Ram pick up trucks or car seats out of a Lexus or Cadillac, etc. Or make the aft end of the interior have a fold down seats that turn into a bed. The person that suggested the overdrive automatic transmission would be an excellent way to get more mpg between fill ups.

Hey mate , I was recommended your channel by a friend in the States (I'm in New Zealand) , excellent stuff and what an awesome van!! Cost very little to fill the tank and you can run around all weekend

you could put a stroker kit in the engine 318 becomes a 392 and 360 becomes a 408. there are so many options for the small block mopar now the prices have down you can build them as cheap as a chevy then lot less wiring
