The eggs on her legs are likely bot fly eggs (these flies may be from the kill pen or your lot), they can be a health risk to the horse. You can remove them with a Bot Fly Knife; found online or at any equestrian/farm store! Hope you see this and it helps!

It's something a lot of horses get and it's not, necessarily bad for the horse at first, but, if the horse licks the eggs and digests them then they hatch inside the horse's stomach and... birth out the butthole. Anyway, hope that helps with the treatment! They are VERY annoying to remove.

tip for horses: use a curry comb in a circular motion so it gets the dirt out then use a harder brush to get the dirt and loose hair of and make the horse look nice and shiny!

I can’t believe that living with horses for 2 years actually taught me something but the crusty things on the horses “elbow” is actually callus that are unique to every horse basically making them their own fingerprints. They sometimes overgrow and are easy and not painful to remove from the horse.

my horse is 27, she’s an arabian. she loves being ridden, she was actually in a situation similar to this but she wasn’t as skinny. it depends on the horse, their health, age and breed. i’m sure she once she gets weight, you can lunge her and work with her to build muscle if you’re gonna ride her. the eggs on her legs are botfly larva, get an eyebrow razor or a botfly knife. and the things on her legs are chestnuts, they’re normal and they’re not a tumor!! thank you for saving her ❤

A solution to your mosquito problem: Go get these things called mosquito dunks. Around here we put them in ponds and stuff. They are all natural and have a bacteria that kills the mosquito larva. Also use it for getting rid of fungus gnats. It’s safe for dogs and such so I don’t see why your big and smol beans would be harmed from them. It’ll work(Don’t hate me) love the vids man!!
