Those flotation devices attached to nets should have complete identification of the net owner, name, address, phone number and fishing permit number. When incidents like this occurs, authorities could then seek out the net owner for costs of rescue and fines.

@@ReadwithChimey 🌿♻️🚮 Very well said, Chimey. The only way we can pressure the Congress to get busy on these very important bills is probably to shine a very bright light on how they vote or don't vote and if they keep their promises! Some would argue that C-SPAN does that, but the pace of the proceedings is deadly slow real time. If a current voting record of all members could be posted somewhere online, we could ask them, "What's going on?" This coming midterm election is so very important, I think I'll raise my solitary voice and see which of my Congress people will listen. And if you had ever spoken to my husband he would have told you a "solitary " voice (like mine?) can be hard to block out! 🙂 Take good care and have a wonderful summer. 🌲🍀🇺🇲🌲

I'm afraid for this beautiful country's future:( No matter how imperfect, THIS country is still the best in my humble opinion, and deserves so much more! Well, if each of us do our part to be kind and have reverence for our fellow earthlings and the trees that sustain life... that's pretty much the only thing that is in our control. I'll end with the quote, " “Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something.” And “something” is anything that isn’t nothing." These stewards, the rescuers among us, are signs we will evolve. We've got to now get each other out of the trap of fear and betterism. Let's do this!!

I hate these videos because it just shows how bad we're making it for ocean life. But I like it because these beautiful folks are there to help that beautiful, helpless giant.
