The most likely cause of death would be dehydration/heat exhaustion, long before starvation. In fact l have doubts the animal had been stuck that long ,as it was probably still being suckled/nursed every few hours,therefore after 2 days with out milk it wouldn't be healthy enough to simply walk away

Wow, without people to save her she would have died a slow painful death! So happy to see her free!

It's a good thing that mama was there because he immediately went over and tried to suckle on her for milk. After two days that poor baby was not just in shock but hungry. What a blessing for them and such a rare occurrence and help the zebra.

Many animals are like that though. If they don't think baby will live, they'll hang off to side just to keep basic eye on it. If it escapes, they'll take it back. But on the plains, most babies in bad situations get abandoned in a blink of eye, especially if potential predators are around.

a possibility is they hadn't given up hope yet, and hoped the humans would help them somehow. but they likely gave up on the foal's survival due to their inability to bring it any food or water, and the foal was an easy meal for predators, the parents likely didn't want to have to witness their baby's eventual death. you can see in the video how badly the foal tried to get out by how badly its legs are damaged, at the end of the video his wounds don't look any better.

Even the elite evolution experts couldn't prove it. Yet, there's adaption which happens within the one species and quite different from the former. There are billions of people out there that don't believe in your fantasy and delusion.

Oh, I'm sure it struggled to exhaustion long before they found it. It was stuck so tight that the blood circulation was diminished. That's why it struggled to get its legs to work right. Makes you wonder how the baby got into that situation. Hopefully it wasn't done just to make a video.

@@virginiamoss7045 usually wild animals leave their babies if they get in a troubled situation, the mother usually waits nearby or just leaves, baby zebras also practice jumping so it could have been that, I don't think they placed it there

@@PersonTP Some do, but not "usually". Most animal mothers will attempt to protect their babies in all but the most dangerous to the mother circumstances. For equines the baby is expected to stand in a certain amount of time; if it does not the mother will eventually leave it. Similarly, if it fails to follow her even after coaxing it, she will leave it assuming it is defective same as failure to stand. Also, equines are programmed to mostly move forward, especially in times of distress. This baby was narrow enough to pass through until its hips were not; it could easily have backed out, but that's not instinctual. These adult zebras seem unusually calm.

OMG !!! A big thanks to those men rescuing this beautiful baby zebra !!! I was so.worried as they pulled her/ his back legs too much that might had dislocated the joints ,or something ,then saw the baby having a trouble getting up really scared me !! Thank God that everything was/is o.k !!! And her/ his parents stayed by their baby the whole time was very moving !!! I didn't see 'em til the end ,so I was so sad for that baby zebra ! YAY REUNITED ZEBRA FAMILY !!! AWESOME !!! Thank you to those people that saved the baby zebra. Bless them! We had a baby deer that got stuck in a gate and died. Had I known I would have tried to get it out. Can u imagine the trauma for both baby and Mom as it starved to death. So incredibly sad.

As Zimbabweans, my family and I have always lived to help animals through our conservation efforts with our local wildlife at Bumi Hills, Lake Kariba. Yeah, if a mother zebra in a herd gives birth to a unknown foal and not of the herd stallion’s bloodline, he’ll kill her newborn foal. The same goes with wild horses.

That was perfect Timing for these kind people to come by and saw the poor trapped Baby Zebra. It was so surprising to see MOM and DAD were close by. There was "No Scolding" by MOM or DAD but just a Quiet Reunion of this beautiful Zebra Family.

Somewhere nearby, a Lion just groaned in frustration.

They were so busy watching the zebras they never noticed the lion pride sneak up behind them.

Aaaaah, that is so lovely to see a baby being rescued. Especially by 2 legged rather than 4 legged creature. Mum and dad zebra look quite grateful - they are such pretty animals, I love them. Thank you for rescuing her. 😍

Most specifically, my KZread Channel Subscriptions are mainly to KZreadrs (such as Dodo, Geobeats, Hope for Paws, Bondi Vet, etc.) with videos related to animal rescues and funny animal compilation videos. However, I will never subscribe to those KZreadrs that call themselves as an "animal rescue" organization. Their objective is to pull the heartstrings of viewers by filming an animal in tremendous pain & sufferings for an extremely long time. If they truly cared, their immediate action should be to take the poor animal to an emergency vet clinic to help & stop the animal's suffering as soon as possible. Those KZreadrs make me extremely upset because they are obviously creating video contents for the purposes of obtaining massive views. Because the more views they can get, the more money in their wallet!

Those zebras are just beautiful. My heart went up to my throat when the baby couldn’t get up. I’m so glad she was just fine. Heartwarming to see her parents reunite with her.

It's hard to believe that baby zebra was stuck in the tree for 2 days without a hyena or a lion helping it to get out.

You guys!...You should have pushed the poor thing backwards instead of trying to pull him from the front!... Thank God you did not cause more damage!

I agree, but that is how the animal world works. They gotta eat, just like us humans. We kill various animals for food, when that food isn't necessary for us or our growth. For animals, it's essential.

Ahh, pore baby, what an ordeal. It is still hurting and limping and maybe in shock, who knows. A big thank you to the guys who did the rescue. May you all, including the animals be blessed. Much love.
