2 years of the Kraken having been released. In all seriousness, she has really transformed into such a healthy bird and while she always has looked beautiful, she looks even more beautiful because of how healthy she is now. I'm really glad that you got her, Brock. If you hadn't, she wouldn't be with us any more. Because of you, she has a second chance at life, you saved her. But at the same time, be sure to look after yourself too. Rest up as you need to.

This video has me teary eyed. Ripley walked so Tupac could hop, and Bea and the others could fly. So happy to see how well she and the others are doing. I still remember when you were posting videos of Ripley tormenting your friends and now to see your sanctuary blooming is just beautifully amazing!

I agree that Beatrix looks a lot more beautiful with her tail. She's definitely a lot better off now. 😊

I am proud of you both. You for working so hard to love her and for her for working so hard to live.

It's great to see her now from where she was when you got her. The original video was really scary, she was so droopy and close to checking out 😢 When they get pissy again that's a good thing. We were given a Green Cheek Conure that had been outside for who knows how long and her eyes had the same look. She would just sit on me and want scritches and to nap. We kept feeding her and took her to the vet and pretty shortly she felt way better and decided we needed to be punished for saving her. Luckily the vet said she was in excellent shape and she wants the occasional scritch through the bars and loves treats. She gets upset when I leave her even if she just wants to bite half the time now. She's happy and plays with her toys and mumbles to herself and tries to talk.

I always say it's a good sign when they want to kill you. If they're strong enough to fight then they're in good health! When a toucan starts acting more docile it usually means they aren't feeling well. Toupac definitely demonstrated that too. So happy you gave that green cheek a second chance!

I have had Maximilian Pionus parrots my whole life basically and I now have Dobby who was given to me after my last buddy Lurch escaped. I tracked him for two days and climbed two trees and eventually he was scared away. I got Pippen because a guy saw Lurches lost ad after having Pippen fly into his warehouse 5 years after Lurch was gone. He couldn't safely keep her so I went to get her even though I knew it wasn't Lurch once I saw her and he was happy she had a safe place to stay. I ran ads and several thought she was theirs but no matches. I also have two Conure fosters from a friend who's mom got dementia so I'm taking care of them too till a good home steps up. I have 4 birds now too and it's like a jungle here. Wasn't the plan but how life worked out.

I remember when you first got Beatrix and she would scuttle up to you and grab a blueberry, then get away from you as fast as she could, and if you looked at her she would run away. It's amazing to see her so relaxed now 🙂

Love the progress on Beatrice and how all the birds are healthy and crazy. The scarring and the bites is part and parcel of getting a little velociraptor.

The aviary construction prospects sounds very exciting! I remember when you first got Bea, she was really struggling. It's awesome to see she got back her vibrant coloring and looks super soft. Her being sassy is a good sign, it seems she still loves her blueberries to comfort herself. She's come a long way now if she's got a roomie! i've always been against the ownership of exotic pets because it leads to mistreatment of the animals and cases like Beatrix. But I'm so glad to also see people rescue these animals and restore them back to health. Upon viewing 2-3 videos from you, I can tell you truly have a passion for animals and it's just refreshing to see.

I’m glad that even though you couldn’t move, you found a solution that will work for you and the birds. Rhea and Lalo love you. Beatrix and Jade DO appreciate your care, but they of course are wild. Nothing you don’t know there. I reiterate that I think, for you, there’s nothing wrong with treating Rhea and Lalo as pets. They are captive-bred and you bought them as your companions and ambassadors. Enjoy your time with them!

Man I feel you on health issues. I just found out I have some sort of issue with my lumbar vertebrae and the intervertebral discs. I can’t walk upright. But I have 5 pets to care for plus school and I live alone 😅😅 it’s a big big struggle. Hopefully the steroids they’re giving me will help.

It's actually better that I'm doing what I'm doing now because I can work at my own pace. I was just about working myself to death trying to do the channel and freelance video production before. I'm very lucky to be in the situation I am where I can do what I love and also hopefully keep myself around a little longer 😂

My curls are finally coming down from their hormones. Which has been a nightmare this year because we just had our first featherless biped at the peak of their hormonal season, got to love forced heat 🙄

Hey, I have some of the health issues that you do. Maybe you are not getting enough oxygen in your blood. I have a rare blood disorder and it was recommended that I eat beets regularly and then be sure to stay in with drinking water as much as you can. Real lemon and lime juice and ice really makes a difference. Also they say that drinking black tea is good for your heart. Get some more rest and feel better, we aren’t going anywhere!
